Job Purpose
BFL is building a POS acquiring for Merchants. The Objective of the individual/team is to deliver a cutting-edge experience in offline acquiring business. The team would closely coordinate and work with multiple project stake holders- Banks, Business COEs, Service, Operations and Finance functions.
Duties And Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Switch expert and good experience working in BFSI industry
- Add, modify and configure devices on the switch. Knowledge of switch operations, monitoring procedures to apply strong control and eliminate errors.
- Good knowledge about administration of monitoring system on the switch, generating different requirements, files and reports from the switch.
- Experience in both issuing and acquiring process. Excellent understanding of Debit cards, prepaid cards, credit cards and payment technologies.
- Knowledge of POS switching, ISO 8583 messaging standard, EMV issuing and acquiring standard. Experience on VISA/Mastercard simulators.
- Security monitoring which also includes pushing of OS patches, switch patches and terminal related support.
- Work closely with infrastructure teams on stability improvement programs and general improvements to the environments.
- Manage and co-ordinate recurring issues and ensure long term resolution
- Participate in requirement and solution review process
- Complete understanding of Offline transaction flow and the entities involved in a transaction.
- Taking end to end ownership of partner onboarding, merchant tie-ups.
- Providing technical and functional expertise for integration and communication of POS terminals with Banks, interchanges and switches.
- Various methodologies for Fraud detection and fraud prevention strategies.
- Knowledge in supporting client migration plans, developing new solution offerings and working with internal and external stakeholders to provide optimal integration experience while addressing any technical concerns.
- API integration and testing on POS terminal.
- Identify and work with third party resources as necessary to support client integration needs.
- Strong understanding of payment processing infrastructure systems, technology, security standards and fraud prevention strategies.
- Review the technical solution, experience design and make sure the integration follows all the necessary guidelines.
- To provide technical leadership, oversight and planning for new features and functionality for the Retail environment/offline merchants
- Requires good software design and understanding, taking a lead role in working with business users, project managers and others working within BFL organization
- Hands on with technical tasks and project leading activities
- Proactively provide regular, clear and consistent communication on the status of projects, issues and deliverables to merchants/vendors/etc.
- Under limited supervision, performs technical and administrative work in supporting and maintaining the POS payment systems to clients/merchants
- Complete understanding of APIs including new product features and onboarding process
- Maintain communication with merchants and keep track of each step of the integration process|

- Technical skillsets should include: Good experience of working in JAVA
- Good understanding of REST APIs and the web in general.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, asynchronous architectures, and object-oriented programming
- Demonstrated experience with best SDLC practices: coding standards, reviews, code management, build processes, and testing
- Ability to diagnose and identify issues with API's, Code, Services, and Network
connectivity.
- Excellent communication skills along with strong presentation and data analytics skills.
Required Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor of Technology/Master in Computer Applications
- Overall 6-8 years experience in Offline Merchant Acquiring Business and switching technologies.
- Experience in Integration of POS machines, troubleshooting
- Technology orientation and attitude to challenge status-quo.
- High degree of passion and self-belief.
- Collaborative work style to engage with peers & colleagues in other functions across the company.
- Exceptionally high motivational levels and a self-starter.
- Experience in cyber security threats and vulnerability fixes are huge plus
