Lead the problem identified in a design phase and provide solution using simulation.
Define and implement appropriate simulation strategies to solve engineering problems, including design exploration, Design of Experiments (DoE), sensitivity studies, optimization, and regression-based analyses.
Should be familiar with ASME section VIII div. 2 part 5 (Design by Analysis)
Conduct linear and nonlinear structural analyses, including:
Static stress analysis
Transient structural and thermal analysis
Low and High cycleFatigue and life assessment
Thermal stress analysis
Contact and sealing simulations
Wear analysis
Evaluate valve performance under high pressure, temperature, and corrosive environments.
Perform fluid-structure interaction (FSI) or support CFD-FEA coupling for flow-induced stresses and vibrations.
Should have understanding of APDL and Ansys ACT
Leverage the AI to automate the repetitive tasks in simulation
Provide recommendations for improving:
Structural integrity
Sealing performance
Manufacturability
Cost efficiency
Support product development from concept to validation
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards such as:
ASME (e.g., Section VIII, B16 series)
API (e.g., API 6D, API 600, API 602)
ISO and PED requirements
Conduct analyses for pressure boundary qualification and safety factors.
Correlate simulation results with experimental data (pressure tests, burst tests, fatigue testing).
Support root cause analysis (RCA) for field failures and non-conformances.
Develop and maintain simulation validation methodologies
Owns project delivery, schedule, resources, and customer expectations
Capability development as the need may be during project execution
Should possess experience in advanced material modelling, including Hyperelasticity, Viscoplasticity, plasticity, cyclic plasticity, and other nonlinear constitutive material models as applicable
