Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida for a Lead / Senior Piping and Utilities Design Engineer. The role involves leading the design of piping and utility systems for manufacturing facilities, conducting stress analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. The engineer will also oversee compliance with industry standards, provide technical expertise, and ensure the delivery of high-quality designs aligned with Inotek's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop process piping and utility systems for pharmaceutical facilities
  • Prepare P&IDs, piping layouts, isometrics, and utility distribution schemes
  • Design and size utility systems such as HVAC utilities, compressed air, nitrogen, purified water (PW), WFI, clean steam, and chilled water systems
  • Perform pipe sizing, pressure drop calculations, and hydraulic analysis
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, ASME BPE, and international standards
  • Coordinate with process, HVAC, electrical, and civil teams for integrated project execution
  • Review vendor drawings, technical specifications, and BOQs
  • Support installation, testing, commissioning, and validation activities
  • Ensure proper material selection (SS 316L, etc.) and hygienic design practices

  • Utility Systems (PW, WFI, Clean Steam, Compressed Air, HVAC utilities)
  • P&ID Development & Interpretation
  • Pipe Sizing & Pressure Drop Calculations
  • Software: AutoCAD, Plant 3D / E3D / PDMS (preferred)
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME BPE, IS and international standards
  • Hygienic / Sanitary Design Practices
  • Vendor Coordination & BOQ Preparation

Required Candidate Profile:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in piping & utility design for pharmaceutical projects
  • Strong understanding of cleanroom and regulated environment requirements
  • Experience with international standards and best engineering practices
  • Willingness to travel internationally for project execution

Preferred Candidate:

  • Experience in Pharma/EPC/Consultancy companies
  • Exposure to sterile / regulated facility design is an added advantage
