Job Summary

Lead the sales capability agenda across businesses at Godrej Agrovet Limited with the objective of building differentiated frontline and leadership capabilities, scalable learning systems, and best-in-class sales ways of working that create long-term competitive advantage for the organisation.

This role offers the opportunity to build and shape the capability function from the ground up designing frameworks, creating learning ecosystems, institutionalising coaching cultures, and driving large-scale capability transformation across businesses.

The role will partner closely with CEOs, Sales Heads, HR, and cross-functional teams to strengthen frontline effectiveness, improve manager capability, and drive adoption of sales transformation initiatives across businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the enterprise sales capability agenda across businesses
  • Build and institutionalise sales capability frameworks, learning journeys, coaching systems, and best-in-class sales ways of working across frontline and leadership roles
  • Partner with CEOs, Sales Heads, HR, and cross-functional teams to drive capability interventions linked to GTM transformation, sales productivity, and execution excellence
  • Drive frontline manager effectiveness, field leadership development, and adoption of transformation initiatives through structured capability interventions
  • Engage and manage external capability partners, training vendors, and learning ecosystems to strengthen and scale capability initiatives
  • Work with Digital & Analytics teams to drive technology-enabled learning systems and capability measurement frameworks

  • Improvement in frontline sales capability, execution quality, and manager effectiveness
  • Adoption of standardised sales ways of working and execution routines
  • Capability readiness for new GTM and transformation initiatives
  • Improvement in learning effectiveness and capability assessment scores

  • Rollout and adoption of structured learning journeys across businesses

Candidate Profile

Education

  • MBA/Postgraduate in Sales, Marketing, HR, Strategy, or Business from Tier-I / Tier-II B-Schools

Experience

  • 9+ years of experience in FMCG, Consumer, or Agri businesses across Sales Capability, Sales Excellence, GTM, Trade Marketing, Learning & Development, or Sales Transformation roles
  • Strong understanding of frontline sales environments, distribution systems, and field execution models
  • Experience in building capability frameworks, learning journeys, coaching systems, and sales ways of working
  • Proven experience in independently driving capability initiatives and creating training programs from scratch
  • Experience in managing external capability partners, training vendors, and large-scale learning interventions
  • Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and transformation management capability
