Job Description – Lead RPA Developer / RPA Technical Lead

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and solution-oriented Lead RPA Developer / RPA Technical Lead to lead our Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives within the healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) domain.

This role is not limited to bot development. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the overall RPA ecosystem — including solution design, architecture, development standards, automation strategy, maintenance optimization, scheduling automation, and team leadership.

The candidate will work closely with Operations, Business Analysts, and Engineering Teams to solve complex business problems through scalable automation solutions using Python and modern automation technologies.

RPA Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the organization's RPA development and maintenance initiatives.
• Manage and mentor the RPA development team.
• Establish coding standards, development guidelines, and automation best practices.
• Drive modernization of existing bots and automation frameworks.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual operational dependency through automation.
• Take ownership of bot stability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Solution Design & Architecture

• Analyze business problems and design scalable automation solutions.
• Create technical designs, workflows, process documentation, and automation architecture.
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Design reusable automation frameworks and modular components.
• Optimize bot execution, scheduling, logging, monitoring, and exception handling.

Development Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation bots using Python, Playwright, Selenium, and related RPA technologies.
• Build robust web automation solutions for healthcare PMS/RCM systems.
• Integrate bots with databases, APIs, file systems, and internal applications.
• Develop automation utilities, dashboards, and monitoring systems.
• Improve existing legacy bots and migrate unstable automations to scalable frameworks.

Bot Management & Operational Excellence

• Lead bot scheduling and orchestration initiatives.
• Reduce manual bot execution dependency by implementing automated scheduling and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot production bot failures and implement permanent fixes.
• Ensure proper logging, alerting, audit tracking, and reporting mechanisms.
• Maintain bot inventory, documentation, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to improve process efficiency and turnaround time.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Operations Teams, Developers, and Management.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery tracking.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure development quality standards.
• Support junior developers in problem-solving and technical growth.

Process Improvement & Innovation

• Identify automation opportunities across business functions.
• Recommend process improvements and technology upgrades.
• Explore modern automation technologies, AI-assisted automation, and workflow orchestration tools.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the automation ecosystem.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Python development.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, and RPA tools/frameworks.
• Strong understanding of web automation, API integrations, database operations (SQL), exception handling, and logging frameworks.
• Familiarity with task scheduling, orchestration, and bot monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of Git/version control and SDLC processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with:

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare RCM domain.
• Experience in migrating legacy automation solutions.
• Exposure to AI-enabled automation solutions is a plus.
