Oversee activities including troubleshooting, refurbishment, component upgrades, performance enhancement, and field service execution. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee repair, maintenance, and upgrade engineering for steam turbine modules, including stationary and rotating components. Translate operational and performance requirements into actionable service solutions ensuring reliability and compliance with OEM standards.
- Possess expertise in analyzing and reverse-engineering existing steam turbine components to understand their design, functionality, and specifications. Capable of recreating accurate replicas or developing improved versions of original parts when documentation is unavailable or insufficient, ensuring compliance with performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Provide expert technical support during outages, overhauls, erection, and commissioning at project sites. Ensure seamless integration of service plans with field execution while maintaining safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Oversee detailed design calculations for steam turbine components and systems using both OEM-specific software and general engineering tools such as ANSYS. Interpret design requirements, apply thermodynamic and mechanical principles, and validate results against performance criteria. Review hand calculations and cross-verification using classical engineering methods to ensure accuracy and robustness of design outputs.
- Develop and validate engineering solutions for component upgrades, efficiency improvements, and life extension programs using advanced analysis tools and applicable international standards.
- Generate and maintain service-related engineering documents such as refurbishment plans, inspection protocols, BOMs, and technical deviation reports. Ensure alignment with contractual obligations and project milestones.
- Oversee rotor dynamics evaluations during refurbishment and troubleshooting phases to ensure safe and reliable operation. Provide technical direction for resolving vibration, resonance, and alignment issues during outages and overhauls.
