Position: Lead Researcher & Collaborator (IKS) / Head of Indian Wisdom Traditions
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Full-Time)

We are establishing a premier Holistic Learning & Ecological Retreat dedicated to reviving the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) through immersive experiential and cultural training. Built on the principles of sustainability and consciousness, our goal is to develop world-class training programs for global corporates, educational institutions, parents, and seekers worldwide. The aim is to help moder global citizens reconnect with timeless truths and values from Indian scriptures in a highly practical context.
Role Overview
We are seeking an intellectually curious and collaborative Lead Researcher & Curriculum Designer who lives and breathes ancient Indian philosophical traditions. You will act as the bridge between our retreat and the world's leading scholars, spiritual masters, and traditional institutions. Your mission is to research existential questions of human life, build active global collaborations, and translate these insights into an impactful, globally accessible curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Collaboration & Networking
- Build Partnerships: Map, reach out to, and build strong relationships with traditional institutions (Gurukuls, Ashrams, Universities), scholars, and authentic practitioners of IKS.
- On-the-Ground Learning: Travel to and sit with traditional masters worldwide to engage in deep philosophical dialogues, absorbing authentic insights to bring back to the retreat.
- Expert Integration: Create an active collaborative ecosystem, inviting external experts to contribute to, validate, or guest-facilitate modules.
2. Philosophical Research & Collation
- Existential Frameworks: Research and collate profound wisdom from the Vedas, Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, Puranas, and epics, focusing on spirituality, cosmology, ecology, and self-realization.
- Authenticity & Modern Relevance: Ensure all synthesized content is deeply rooted in authentic texts while being accessible and relevant to a diverse, non-dogmatic global audience.
3. Curriculum & Instructional Design
- Curriculum Architecture: Translate complex metaphysical concepts into structured, experiential, and scalable educational programs, workshops, and multi-day retreat modules for targeted learning tracks.
- Experiential Formats: Create interactive tools, reflective journaling, meditation practices, and storytelling formats that make philosophy felt and lived.
4. Training & Content Creation
- Facilitator Mentorship: Create comprehensive facilitator guides and train instructors to deliver developed modules with accuracy, depth, and the right bhava (spirit).
- Multimedia Support: Collaborate with the creative team to produce high-quality written manuals, audio-visual guides, and promotional training content.
Qualifications & Core Skills
- Master's (with 2 years of experience) or Ph.D. in Philosophy, Sanskrit, Indology, Ancient Indian History, or a closely related field.
- Systemic Understanding of IKS, including Vedanta, the Epics (Ramayana & Mahabharata), Shad-Darshanas (orthodox schools), and the ecological wisdom of Pancha Mahabhutas (five elements).
Professional Skills
- Strategic Networking: A natural relationship-builder comfortable engaging with traditional scholars, spiritual leaders, and corporate executives with equal humility and ease.
- Instructional Design: Proven experience designing educational courses, workshops, or retreat modules (experience with global audiences is highly preferred).
- Synthesis & Communication: Exceptional ability to synthesize vast texts into clear, logical frameworks, combined with strong storytelling and English communication skills.
