About The Role
As a
Lead React Native Developer, you will lead the mobile engineering charter for our credit platform products. You will be responsible not only for writing high-quality code, but also for
leading a team, driving engineering excellence, handling mission-critical releases, and shaping the technical direction of our mobile applications. We are looking for someone who combines strong React Native expertise with
leadership, urgency, accountability, and a product mindset. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced fintech environment where production incidents, regulatory timelines, and customer commitments demand quick decision-making and flawless execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development and delivery of React Native applications for Android and iOS.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile solutions for credit and payments products.
- Own business-critical mobile features from design through production rollout and post-release monitoring.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers through code reviews, pair programming, technical guidance, and career development.
- Drive engineering best practices across architecture, coding standards, testing, CI/CD, observability, and release management.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver customer-facing financial products with high reliability.
- Take ownership of production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Participate in technical roadmap planning, sprint estimation, and execution tracking.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and financial-domain standards for mobile applications.
- Champion a culture of ownership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
AI-First Engineering Expectations

The Ideal Candidate Should:
- Be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools in day-to-day development.
- Use AI for code generation, refactoring, debugging, testing, documentation, and developer productivity improvements.
- Evaluate AI-generated code critically and ensure production-grade quality, security, and maintainability.
- Contribute ideas for incorporating AI into engineering workflows and customer-facing product capabilities.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of software development experience with 4+ years of hands-on React Native development.
- Strong expertise in React Native, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of React Hooks, Context API/Redux, React Navigation, state management, and mobile application architecture patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Android and iOS platforms, build systems, release processes, and app store deployments.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, authentication systems (JWT/OAuth), payment SDKs, and secure data handling mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams or owning significant technical modules.
- Excellent debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and execution skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with native Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift) development.
- Experience with Firebase, push notifications, analytics, crash reporting, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, and Detox.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
- Understanding of mobile observability, feature flagging, and remote configuration systems.
Domain Expertise (Strongly Preferred)
Experience in one or more of the following domains:
- FinTech
- Banking

- Credit Underwriting
- Financial Services Platforms
Understanding of secure mobile application development, PCI-DSS considerations, financial compliance requirements, and customer data protection practices will be a significant advantage.
