We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst Team Lead to manage and mentor a team of 6-8 quantitative analysts in the Structured Finance Analytics space. This leadership role will require you to provide technical and managerial guidance, ensure the timely delivery of projects, and foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. You'll interact with onshore teams, implement process improvements, and drive the development of data and analytical solutions that meet business and regulatory needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Manage and mentor a team of 6-8 Quant Analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Guide the team on technological enhancements and best practices.
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables and prioritize work effectively.
- Regularly report on team performance and project progress.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Communicate regularly with the Global Structured Finance Analytics team and Credit Technology team to ensure alignment on priorities, tasks, and project requirements.
- Ensure that developed applications meet defined requirements and pass User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to release.
- Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Identify and implement process efficiencies and automation opportunities to optimize team performance.
- Lead efforts to transform, improve, and integrate data based on business needs, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Data Management & Analysis:
- Work with large datasets, utilizing databases such as SQL, AWS S3, and Athena to manage structured data.
- Actively participate in design and build phases of analytical solutions to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data for use in criteria development, ratings, and research reports.
- Quality & Accuracy:
- Take ownership of key deliverables and ensure they are accurate, timely, and of the highest quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 9-11 years of relevant experience in Credit Modeling, Model Validation, or related roles in financial analytics.
- Strong background in working with large data sets, databases, and quantitative analysis.
- Education:
- MBA (Finance), BTech, or PhD (Math) from a Tier I college.
- Solid knowledge in finance, statistics, and behavioral sciences.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Python/Anaconda and the Data Science stack (Jupyter, Pandas, NumPy).
- Proficiency in Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and MSSQL.
- Familiarity with SAS/R is a plus.
- Understanding of AWS infrastructure and cloud-based data storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3, Athena) is an added advantage.
