About the Role: SaveIN is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with a strong automation focus to help us scale test coverage across our lending and payments platform. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and compliance teams to ensure the reliability, security, and correctness of systems that handle real money movement and sensitive customer data.

Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (API, UI, and regression) integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Own the test strategy for critical customer journeys, including onboarding, credit decisioning, disbursement, and repayment/collections.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks for testing integrations with bank partners (HDFC, ICICI, IDFC First) and bureau/KYC providers.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and proactively build automated regression suites to reduce manual QA dependency.
- Collaborate with developers to shift testing left by embedding test gates into CI/CD alongside SAST/security checks.
- Perform API contract testing, load/performance testing, and data validation for financial transactions.
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports and work with engineering to drive root-cause fixes.
- Contribute to the test data management strategy, especially around PII/DPDP-compliant sandbox data.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and help formalize QA processes, test documentation, and release sign-off criteria.
- Participate in production incident reviews to identify testing gaps that could have caught issues earlier.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in QA/SDET roles with a strong hands-on automation focus.
- Proficiency with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, Karate).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and integrating automated tests.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing.
- Experience testing REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
- Basic scripting ability (Java/Python/JavaScript) for writing and maintaining test scripts.
- Understanding of the software testing lifecycle, including test planning, traceability, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Prior experience in fintech, banking, or lending products is a strong plus (understanding of KYC, credit underwriting, or payment flows).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6) is a plus.
- Exposure to security testing basics (e.g., OWASP Top 10) is a plus, given the regulated environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience testing systems with multiple bank/NBFC integrations.
- Familiarity with compliance-driven QA (e.g., audit trails, RBI/data protection considerations).
- Interest in AI-assisted testing tools/agentic QA workflows, as this is a growing focus area for our team.
