Your Role:Lead QA Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

Strategic Automation & Application Testing

• Architect and Leadthe development of robust, scalable, and low-code test automation frameworks usingJava,Selenium,TestNG, andCucumber.
• Define the strategyfor end-to-end testing of modern web applications usingPlaywrightwithTypeScript, ensuring seamless integration with BDD frameworks across different functions.
• Standardizeautomation patterns across the organization, including POM with Page Factory, Keyword-Driven, Data-Driven, and Hybrid frameworks.
• Overseethe execution and reporting of Smoke, Integration, System, and Regression suites, ensuring high confidence in release quality.

API & Backend Governance

• Establish best practicesfor API automation testing usingREST-Assured.
• Governthe validation of API responses, security authentication mechanisms, and complex error-handling scenarios.
• Designreusable POJO models for parsing and validating large-scaleJSON/XMLpayloads.
• Promotethe use ofPostmanandSwaggerfor standardized API exploration and living documentation.

Data Engineering & Quality Strategy

• Lead the Data Quality (DQ) initiative, designing complexSQLandJDBCbased validation frameworks for high-volume datasets.
• Strategize the validationof ETL/ELT pipelines, complex data transformations, and business logic withinAzure Databricks.
• Architect solutionsfor validating schema evolution, late-arriving data, and ACID compliance inDelta tables.
• Drive automated reconciliationprocesses between disparate source systems and curated data layers.

CI/CD & DevOps Excellence

• Design and optimizeCI/CD pipelines usingGitHub Actions,Jenkins, andYAMLto automate quality checks at every stage of the SDLC.
• Implement advanced telemetryand reporting for test executions within build and release pipelines to provide real-time quality insights.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a primary liaisonbetween developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align testing efforts with business goals.
• Facilitatesprint planning and backlog grooming from a quality advocacy perspective.
• Mentor the teamthrough peer reviews, managing pull requests, and enforcing rigorous coding and testing standards.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• 7+ years of experience in QA Automation and Testing

• Strong expertise in Java-based automation frameworks

• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Selenium

• Solid knowledge of API testing and backend validation

• Strong SQL and database testing skills

• Experience working with Azure Databricks or large-scale data platforms

• Proven experience in CI/CD automation

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

• Exposure to Spark / PySpark-based data testing

• Experience validating large datasets in lakehouse architectures

• Knowledge of cloud-native testing strategies

• Experience working in data-driven or analytics-heavy systems
