Designation: Lead Programmer Analyst
Key Expectations
- Lead programming and testing of the batch system to meet client requirements
- Own end-to-end batch delivery, including client interactions
- Create and review analysis and test plans aligned to requirements
- Ensure post-implementation stability and continuous system readiness
- Drive technical excellence, quality assurance, and solution delivery
- Provide oversight for automated production job monitoring, team to ensure prompt attention, escalation, and closure of all job failures.
- Coach and develop team members lead knowledge enhancement initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement and client/organizational initiatives
Required Skills
- Advanced hands-on expertise in:
- SQL and SAS programming (or JCL / DB2)
- Advanced debugging of programming, system, and batch defects
- Batch system configuration and analysis
- Strong knowledge of:
- DB2 relational databases and data models
- Data flows, data processing, and common data stores
- Advanced SAS functions and utilities
- JCL / Mainframe concepts
- Ability to translate client requirements and legislation into system specifications in collaboration with TBA teams
- Proficient knowledge in at least one domain solution (Health / Retirement preferred)
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
Role Description
The Lead Analyst Programmer is responsible for leading the programming and testing of batch systems to meet client requirements and provide technology support. The role partners closely with internal and client teams to build and sustain a comprehensive system platform aligned with business needs.
Post system implementation, the Lead Analyst Programmer ensures batch systems operate smoothly and remain current. The role has a strong focus on technical leadership, quality assurance, mentoring, and continuous improvement, while independently managing client-facing batch delivery.

Experience
- Prior experience with Alight / Aon / Wipro is an added advantage
- Health or Retirement domain experience preferred
