Position: Lead Professional Development Trainer

The Lead Trainer is responsible for designing, leading, and managing highquality professional learning experiences for educators across workshops, courses, and community programs. This role is central to the quality and impact of Kai Circle's teacher development work.

The Lead Trainer shapes meaningful professional learning that is practice-based, reflective, and grounded in strong pedagogy, ensuring that educators grow in confidence, clarity, and classroom effectiveness. The role combines training, mentoring, programme leadership, endtoend planning of training initiatives and institute events. The Lead Trainer plays a key role in strengthening teaching practice and supporting the institute's vision for impactful educator development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate professional learning workshops, certification courses, and short modules for teachers and school leaders.
  • Translate institute priorities and partner needs into clear learning outcomes, session plans, and training resources.
  • Lead endtoend planning and basic coordination of training events, including schedules, communication with participants, and onsite logistics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to cocreate programs and ensure a seamless experience for participants.
  • Observe classrooms and provide feedback, coaching, or demo lessons to support transfer of learning into practice.
  • Monitor participant engagement and learning data, and use feedback to refine content, methods, and delivery.
  • Ensure quality, relevance, and consistency across all training sessions and learning materials.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth and vision of Kai Circle's professional learning work

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong background in international pedagogy or progressive school experience
  • Experienced workshop facilitator or trainer with strong presence and credibility
  • Proven ability to design and execute events or learning experiences
  • Deep understanding of data, reflective practice, adult learning, and classroom-based inquiry
  • Confident using digital tools to deliver blended or online training when required.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable with travel and working across locations
  • Passion for education, wellbeing, and community-building
  • School leadership or administrative experience a plus
  • IBEN leader experience a plus
  • Entrepreneurial experience a plus

Location

  • Based at the institute's main campus (Kai Early Years, Whitefield, Bangalore), with occasional opportunities for work from home and periodic travel for schoolbased trainings, conferences, and community events as scheduled
