Are you ready to take the lead in shaping the future of preoperative care We are seeking an exceptional clinical leader to join our Outpatient Department as the Preoperative Practitioner Lead. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious nurse who thrives on responsibility, innovation, and inspiring others.

As the clinical lead for preoperative assessment, you will:

  • Drive service excellence by embedding evidencebased practice, continuous quality improvement, and patient safety at every stage of the surgical journey.
  • Influence and innovate, acting as a change agent to shape policy, strategy, and the future of preoperative services.
  • Empower patients by coordinating their journey from assessment to discharge, ensuring they are optimised and supported for surgery.
  • Inspire colleagues through mentorship, education, and rolemodelling advanced clinical practice.

What We're Looking For

We want a leader who combines clinical expertise with vision and influence. You will bring:

  • First level registration and extensive postregistration experience.
  • Degreelevel education plus qualifications in Clinical Skills Assessment and NonMedical Prescribing.(Or working towards)
  • Proven ability to make autonomous, complex clinical decisions and lead nurseled services.
  • Strong communication, management, and mentoring skills to build a highfunctioning team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and alignment with our organisational values.
