Job Description

LEAD PIPING ENGINEER

• Reports to the Engineering Manager.

• Assists the project engineering Manager in Manpower estimation, work planning / forecast and effective utilization of manpower, progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.

• Lead & own the process of preparation of design deliverables with due consideration for applicable Codes & Standards.

• Interface with Leads of other departments to reflect the as-on-date input from other departments, as applicable.

• Take ownership of deliverables produced & their quality.

 

 

• Capture all changes / modifications in the deliverables that has been intimated by Project, prior to release of deliverable.

• Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents / drawings before release at any Revision status.

• Review Plot Plans, Equipment Layouts, Piping Studies, Nozzle Orientation, GAD's, and Isometrics. Control of Material Take offs for Bulk items.

• Review of Piping Material Specifications, Valve, data sheets, M. R's, Technical Bid Evaluations and vendor drawings.

• Review development and material selection.

• Working knowledge/understanding of all engineering design tools to be used.

• 3D model reviews internal/external (with client).

• Attend project review meetings.

• Coordination with clients and vendors.

• Ensures the Quality and compliance with schedule of all Piping engineering activities and deliverables.

• Integrate EHS principles into engineering processes and design to ensure the safety and well-being of personnel and the environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate safety measures in the development of engineering solutions.

• Conduct thorough risk assessments for engineering projects, identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks.

• Monitor and enforce compliance with EHS regulations, fostering a culture of safety within the engineering team.

• Provide EHS training to engineering staff, emphasizing safe work practices and environmental stewardship.

• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in EHS performance, ensuring the integration of best practices into engineering activities.
