You will lead Payments Analytics for Aditya Birla Capital Digital (ABCD), driving end-to-end analytics across payments acquisition, transaction growth, customer engagement, and monetization. This role will focus on scaling digital payments adoption, improving customer retention, and optimizing transaction journeys through data-driven insights and AI-led decision-making.
This is a leadership role requiring strong hands-on expertise in analytics/data science, along with a solid understanding of digital payments ecosystems and the ability to influence stakeholders and build a high-performing team.

We are looking for a senior analytics leader with strong experience in digital payments (UPI, wallets, cards, bill payments, merchant ecosystems) who can drive growth and engagement through data-led strategies.
You will help ABCD unlock value in payments by:
. Driving user acquisition and activation of payments users
. Increasing transaction frequency and merchant adoption
. Improving retention, stickiness, and share of wallet
. Enabling cross-sell opportunities to lending, investments, and insurance
. Define payments analytics strategy-aligning analytics with key goals like user growth, transaction volume (TPV), frequency, and monetization
. Drive acquisition & activation funnels including onboarding, KYC completion, first transaction journeys, and merchant/payee creation
. Build user lifecycle frameworks covering activation, engagement, retention, churn, and reactivation
. Enable personalization at scale through NBA/NBO models-driving relevant offers, bill reminders, recharge nudges, and merchant recommendations
. Develop ML models such as transaction propensity, churn prediction, fraud signals support, customer segmentation, and spend behavior modeling
. Drive transaction growth strategies-increase frequency, average ticket size, and category expansion (recharges, bill pay, P2P, merchant payments)
. Collaborate with product & business teams to optimize payment journeys, reduce friction, and improve success rates (failures, drop-offs)
. Leverage AI-first approach using GenAI/AI tools for automated insights, anomaly detection, reporting, and self-serve analytics
. Drive campaign analytics & experimentation (A/B tests, cohort strategies) to optimize incentives, cashback ROI, and campaign performance
. Partner with data engineering to build scalable transaction datasets, merchant/customer views, and real-time analytics pipelines
. Define KPIs & dashboards across funnel metrics (activation, transactions/user), TPV, merchant coverage, retention, and campaign ROI
. Work closely with risk & fraud teams to support fraud detection strategies, anomaly tracking, and safe transaction ecosystems
. Ensure compliance with payments regulations, data privacy, and governance standards
. Build and lead a high-performing analytics team, fostering strong technical capability, ownership, and stakeholder alignment
. Bachelor's/Master's in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
. 8-12 years of experience in analytics/data science with strong exposure to payments / fintech / digital transactions ecosystems
. Strong understanding of UPI, wallets, cards, bill payments, merchant ecosystems, and transaction funnels
. Hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, PySpark, and working with large-scale transactional datasets
. Experience in customer lifecycle analytics, campaign analytics, and real-time decisioning
. Familiarity with fraud analytics, transaction monitoring, and risk signals is preferred
. AI-first mindset with exposure to GenAI or advanced analytics tools
. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions
. Proven experience in stakeholder management across product, business, risk, and tech teams
. Experience in building and scaling analytics teams
