- Application Ecosystem Strategy & Development:
- Define and own the strategic roadmap for the enterprise application ecosystem built on Foundry, ensuring alignment with C-level business goals.
- Architect the overall structure and design of mission-critical applications in Workshop, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and secure.
- Lead hands-on development of the most complex application features, tackling challenging UI/UX, logic, and performance problems.
- Establish and enforce platform-wide standards for UI/UX, application design, and development methodologies using Typescript.
- Spearhead performance engineering for all front-end applications to ensure fluid and responsive user experience.
- Data Platform & Backend Architecture:
- Design and govern the master enterprise Ontology, ensuring it serves as a robust and accurate digital twin of the organization.
- Own the overall technical architecture for the data platform, including ingestion patterns, multi-stage pipeline architectures, data modeling strategies, and governance frameworks.
- Serve as the technical authority on highly performant and optimized data pipelines using Python and PySpark, establishing coding standards and review processes.
- Design and implement advanced, secure integrations between Foundry and external systems using Functions and APIs.
- Leadership & Mentoring:
- Provide thought leadership and expert-level guidance to the entire development organization on how to best leverage Foundry.
- Articulate complex architectural concepts and their business value to both technical teams and non-technical executives.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, elevating the team's technical capabilities through guidance, code reviews, and setting best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10 years of experience in IT, data, and application architecture, with 6 years in a principal, lead, or architectural role focused on building solutions with Palantir Foundry.
- Application Architecture & Development Expertise: Authoritative, hands-on mastery of Workshop and Functions. Expert-level Typescript is required, with a deep understanding of front-end architecture, design patterns, and how to govern an enterprise suite of applications.
- Backend & Data Platform Expertise: Authoritative expertise in designing and optimizing complex data pipelines and enterprise-scale Ontologies. Expert-level Python and PySpark skills are required.
- Technical Vision & Leadership: Proven ability to develop a long-term technical strategy, align it with executive-level business objectives, and lead a team's technical execution. A strong track record of mentoring and elevating a team's capabilities is essential.
- Influence and Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate complex architectural concepts and their business value to a wide range of audiences, from junior developers to C-suite executives.
