Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Operations &Maintenance Engineer to oversee and manage the O&Mfor our multiple biogasplants pan India. Candidate will be accountable for ensuring the reliable,efficient, and safe operation of all plant equipment and systems, implementingpreventive maintenance strategies, directing a team of maintenance technicians,and ensuring the highest levels of plant reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for all plant equipment, especially for rotating equipment, shredding systems, solid-liquid separation, digesters, pumps, compressors, turbines, electrical systems, and control systems.
- Coordinate maintenance technicians and engineers across all plants, and prepare a tracker for all equipment uptime for all sites.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and promote a culture of following safety during maintenance and developing a mindset for continuous efficiency improvement.
- Monitor personnel equipment performance, work on ideas to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and monitor preventive maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues and coordinate timely repairs to minimize plant downtime.
- Develop a critical single-line equipment and spares list, and resolve on a capital, durable, and consumable spares philosophy.
- Ensure the right spares are available at the plant and zero stoppage due to the non-availability of spares
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety rules.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Maintain accurate equipment maintenance records, logs, and reports. Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure the pan plant-wise data are comparable and identify why some sites are performing better than others.
- Monitor equipment performance at the site and pan sites to make a comparison of performance.
- Assist in preparing maintenance budgets, manage spare parts inventory, and coordinate procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Implement ideas to improve plant efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, procurement, and safety teams to ensure plant operations and maintenance activities are performed reliably, safely, etc.
- Monitor the cost of operations and maintenance, take steps to reduce operating costs, and ensure billing to customers is on time.
Qualifications & Skills
- BE / B Tech in Mechanical,Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience (8-10 years) in operations & maintenancemanagement in Utility plants or similarindustrial plants, experience in biogas, and renewable energy will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of biogas plantequipment, process systems, and control technologies will be an advantage.
