We are looking for an entrepreneurial Sales Lead to drive a high-impact global initiative: helping US-based sellers expand their selection to reach Amazon's 19+ international marketplaces worldwide (WW). In this role, you will lead our one-to-many seller engagement strategy, its implementation, and delivery of expected input and output results. You will leverage existing seller data and build/use Gen AI tools to create personalized, automated nudges across the seller's global expansion journey to drive US to WW selection expansion. You will leverage Gen AI tools to engage with thousands of new and existing Amazon Sellers and help them grow their business on WW global marketplaces.
The ideal candidate is willing to roll up their sleeves to do the manual work of mass seller outreach today, while simultaneously partnering with product and program teams to develop the Gen AI tools of tomorrow to fully automate the seller engagement and outreach process. You are a leader who can manage trade-offs between what is required to deliver today's results while thinking long term and building tools to scale your impact to WW global selling organizations.
The ideal candidate will have strong sales, automation, and program management skills. They have experience leading mass seller engagement initiatives and proven experience driving global programs. Success in this role requires strong ownership, dive-deep, invent and simplify, and think big skills. They are exceptional at stakeholder management, including the ability to influence without authority, drive alignment, and communicate effectively with senior leadership. This position offers the opportunity to shape the global selling experience for millions of Amazon sellers by developing innovative Gen AI solutions for mass seller engagement.
Key job responsibilities
Drive mass seller engagement:
. Leverage seller data and existing mass reach-out tools to drive mass seller engagement for US to WW expansion and post-launch growth.
. Customize seller messaging based on sellers current stage in the global expansion funnel and/or performance on new global marketplaces.
. Measure impact of seller reach-outs and adapt seller engagement to drive higher open rates and action rates.
. Adapt seller communication across different engagement channels to maximize open and action rates.
. Deliver expected input and output goals of seller launches and global sales GMS.
Automate mass seller engagement:
. Partner with sellers and seller-facing teams to identify seller pain points in global expansion processes. . Pilot and test new mass seller engagement models to drive US to WW expansion.
. Partner with product and program teams to build and implement Gen AI solutions for personalized mass seller engagement.
. Leverage custom-built Gen AI tools to drive exponential growth initiatives for US to WW expansion and post-launch seller growth.
Cross-functional stakeholder management:
. Lead collaboration between product and program teams, business stakeholders, and external partners.
. Dive deep and represent key findings and recommendations to the senior leadership team for decision and action.
. Drive effective communication of mass seller engagement strategy, roadmap, and impact analysis to senior leadership.
. Drive US to WW expansion initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders across geographies and teams.
About the team
This role partners with US Global Selling (USGS) team which owns the full business lifecycle of North American sellers expanding into Amazon's 19 global marketplaces. Its mission is to make US marketplace selection accessible and affordable to Amazon customers worldwide. While US sellers excel on Amazon.com, it is just the beginning of their potential global expansion journey. USGS team is dedicated to simplifying global expansion and international selling for US sellers, working closely with Sellers on both tech and non-tech aspects of product, supply chain and compliance. Amazon Global Selling team's vision is to be the first choice for all US retail businesses to go global. We operate with the agility of a startup and a singular mission: to empower US sellers to expand their business worldwide.
- 5+ years of sales experience
- Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
- Experience closing sales and generating revenue
- Proven track record of rolling up your sleeves to deliver results in an ambiguous, startup-like environment.
- A Day 1 mentality: a high degree of ownership and a passion for inventing and simplifying.
- More than 5 years of experience partnering and working with cross-functional product/program teams in a matrixed organization.
- Experience driving mass seller and/or customer engagement.
- Ability to influence without authority across internal and external partner leadership teams.
- Experience analyzing data trends to determine if inputs are meeting business objectives, and in turn leading recommendations to optimize processes.
- Experience supporting and/or leading senior leadership discussions to align product and program initiatives.
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience influencing C-level executives
- Experience using Amazon Quick Suite and other Amazon Gen AI tools.
- Experience working with Amazon 3P product/program teams.
- Engineering and management education background is preferred but not mandatory.
