Job Purpose:The Head of Module Technology drives the development and innovation of solar modules. This role oversees the entire module lifecycle, ensuring high performance, compliance with standards, and process optimization for efficiency and cost reduction. The Head conducts market analysis to inform strategies and fosters collaboration across teams while leading a high-performing group committed to continuous improvement and innovation in solar technology.

Responsibilities

Module Development & Innovation:

  • Oversee the development of solar module products, including PERC and bifacial designs, ensuring high performance and reliability in new products.

Process Optimization

  • Strategically enhance manufacturing processes to improve module efficiency and reduce costs, focusing on anti-reflective coating and surface texturing.

Design And Prototyping

  • Supervise the design and review of new module products using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ensuring manufacturability and compliance during prototyping.

Testing And Validation

  • Lead testing of new module designs to ensure compliance with standards like IEC 61215 and UL, achieving certification efficiently.

Budget And Resource Management

  • Formulate and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial performance, optimizing Module Technology.

Market Analysis And Benchmarking

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and benchmark products against competitors, driving innovation based on market demands.

Project Management

  • Manage the lifecycle of module development projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Quality Assurance And Compliance

  • Ensure research and production processes meet international standards and monitor quality control to maintain high production standards.

Team Leadership And Development

  • Lead and mentor the module technology team, fostering a culture of innovation and providing training to keep the team updated on advancements.

Digitalization/Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Overseeing digital transformation across the division, ensuring data-driven strategies are embedded organization-wide.

Organizational & Culture Building

  • Cultivating an agile and engaging organizational culture, aligning workforce values with strategic goals.

Leadership In Change Management

  • Leading large-scale change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new technologies across teams.

People Development

Leading from the front & being accountable for the professional growth of your teams. Developing/conducting/promoting training & learning initiatives to enhance skills & empowering them to take ownership of key processes and decisions.

Innovation

  • Leading R&D strategies to integrate cutting-edge technologies and maintain market leadership.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

  • MTech or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Work Experience (Range Of Years)

  • 5-10 years of experience in module technology development and management, with a proven track record in R&D and product innovation.
