JOB Purpose
The MERN Stack Lead is responsible to drive end-to-end development of scalable web applications, manage a team of developers, and contribute to architectural decisions. The role demands hands-on coding expertise, leadership experience, and strong communication skills.
Role And Responsibilities / KRAs
- Technical Leadership & Architecture
Architect, design, and develop scalable web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, MySQL and Node.js.
Define application architecture, system design, and technical standards.
Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
Review and validate technical designs, architecture, and implementation approaches.
Contribute hands-on to complex coding, critical modules, and problem resolution.
Lead sprint planning, effort estimation, task allocation, and timely delivery in an Agile environment.
Ensure adherence to SDLC, Agile/Scrum practices, and coding standards.
Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
- Team Management & Mentoring
Lead, mentor, and guide a team of MERN stack developers.
Conduct regular code reviews focusing on quality, performance, and security.
Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability.
- Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UI/UX, QA, DevOps, and Product Managers.
Work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide technical guidance, progress updates, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
- Cloud, DevOps & Best Practices
Manage and deploy applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Ensure adherence to CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing practices.
Work with DevOps teams to support containerization and deployment (Docker/Kubernetes exposure preferred).
- Organization initiatives
- Ensure participation in at least 2-3 organization initiatives becoming the front face of the function and adding value by making presence felt.
- Personal Development
- Ensure all personal development goals as agreed in discussion with the reporting manager are met before close of the assessment year.
- Further seek guidance and take initiative on becoming more visible participating in key discussion and supporting the India HR Leader help drive the HR vision in the Company.

Qualifications And Experience Requirements
- B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA in Computer Science or related field.
- 610 years of professional experience in software development
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
Knowledge/Skills/Attributes
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.
- Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and architecture design.
- Familiarity with AWS / Azure / Docker / Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of TypeScript, Next.js, GraphQL is an added advantage.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Cypress.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High ownership, quality focus, and delivery-driven mindset.
