Lead Mechanical Engineer II

Define, design, develop, and verify next-generation instruments, documenting progress across concept, technical feasibility, design & development, and verification phases.

Design and develop complex electro/optical/thermal mechanical parts and assemblies considering DFM, reliability, cost, and human factors.

Investigate and solve engineering issues, conduct empirical studies, analyze data, and communicate findings.

Write and release Design Change Orders (DCOs) for engineering drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs).

Manage project timelines, scope, risks, and issues, working cross-functionally with Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, NPI, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Customer Care.

Perform hands-on prototyping with machine shop tools and support injection molding, CFD, and FEA simulations.
