Lead Mechanical Engineer

Overview

This role is responsible for leading the design coordination and technical delivery of mechanical systems for data centre and mission-critical projects. You will work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure designs are aligned with project requirements, quality standards, and timelines across regional projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead review and coordination of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection (MPFP) designs
• Provide technical input on HVAC, cooling systems, piping and fire protection
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to resolve design issues and ensure alignment
• Conduct design QA/QC reviews using BIM tools (e.g. Revit, BIM360)
• Identify and manage design risks and cross-discipline coordination issues
• Support technical studies (thermal, hydraulic, CFD, etc.) where required
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards and project requirements
• Maintain design documentation, tracking and deliverables

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 12 years experience in mechanical design and project delivery
• Experience in data centres or mission-critical projects preferred
• Good knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and BIM tools
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills
