Lead Mechanical engineer is responsible to independently take care of Solar & Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects execution which involves design, detailed engineering, EPC, layout preparation, mechanical/manufacturing drawing, thermal and structural architecture & analysis, component selection, Root cause analysis.
Experience in working with Inverters, Transformer, RMU, Substation, BOP equipment's, MLV/MV drives for large scale industrial projects/Solar & BESS projects/Renewable projects/Power projects.
Experience in CAD tools, 2D & 3D modelling tools, GT&D.
Oversee the progress of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
Prepare comprehensive reports, specifications, and presentations for project reviews, client meetings, and regulatory submissions.
Expertise in new conceptualization, layout and equipment design/optimization with required technical specification, heavy lifting procedures and material handling requirements.
Coordinate with sourcing and the project team on technical matters to meet project specifications, cost control objectives, and schedule objectives. Accountable for team results to deliver a high-quality product to customer requirements on time and on or under budget.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure client satisfaction.
Required Qualification & Experience
Bachelors/Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/CAD design Preferred)
Min 10+ year experience in Mechanical Design/Development/Project execution for large scale industrial projects/Solar & BESS projects/Renewable projects/Power projects.
Experience with TC/ PLM is preferable
Exposure to Manufacturing process & Quality standards.
Experience in global project execution and various countries requirements, international standards IEC/UL & compliances.
Experience in working cross-functionally between Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Product Management, etc.
