Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Planning & Forecasting: Accurately predict material requirements based on production schedules, customer orders, and market trends.
- Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels to minimize costs while ensuring sufficient stock to meet production needs.
- Material Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain material plans, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and manage potential supply chain disruptions.
- Production Support: Work closely with production teams to address any material-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
- Team Leadership (if applicable): If leading a team, you'd be responsible for assigning tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating performance.
- Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving measures in material planning and procurement.
- ERP System Proficiency: Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) to manage material planning processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in material planning processes and implement solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in material planning, inventory management, and supply chain management. 3-5 Years
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
