Role Title : Lead Market Model Audit

Work Location Bengaluru (Availability to work in all SG GSC offices as per need)

Hybrid Model weekly 3-4 days working from office

Purpose of the Role

The model risk audit team will contribute to the group's internal audit team (IGAD) covering enterprise-wide model risk. Within the model risk audit team, the Market risk model Audit team in is charge of auditing predominantly pricing, valuation and regulatory market risk models present in the Bank. The team will perform in-depth analyses of models from quantitative and qualitative perspective. This job has high visibility and can add a lot of value to the organization's control environment and impart confidence to the regulators. The Job will involve high degree of exposure to Front office trading desks, Quantitative strategy team and will require international travel.

Responsibilities in the Role

The role incumbent, as the Lead Market Model Audit will be responsible for:

  • Client audit engagements, which include planning executing, directing, and completing business / financial audits.
  • Good knowledge of business process, operational process related to banking and capital markets.
  • Ability to review the processes such as desk reviews, trade booking, middle-office & back-office processes, etc.
  • Experience in Banking operations with focus on Corporate & Investment Banking, Trade Services, and Securities Business.
  • Experience working in Banking and Capital Markets and good knowledge about various regulations impacting capital markets such DFA, EMIR, etc.
  • A strong understanding of principles of risk management with a thorough understanding of internal control systems including IT controls.
  • Responsible for client management, research and gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
  • Review the evidence of audit conclusions are ensure they are well-documented.
  • Communicate assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise and ensure the deliverables are of high quality, accurate, and efficient
  • Dedicate focus on professional growth and take on more challenging assignments, in line with standard audit career progression
  • Updates job knowledge by being aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Participate on annual risk assessment and audit planning
  • Quality initiatives within audit function
  • Working on Integrated audit
  • Monitoring audit recommendations
  • Statutory and regulatory norms applicable to banking business
  • Fluent Command over English language

Qualifications/ Abilities/ Skills Required:

Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, Finance, or physics

Having 7+ years of experience in Pricing and Regulatory market model development or Validation

Having excellent mathematical skills including stochastic calculus, numerical methods (PDE and Montecarlo)

Knowledge of OTC derivative products(including exotics and Hybrids) across multiple asset classes (Equity ,IR and FX)

Having FRM, CFA or CQF certification is an added advantage

Knowledge specific to Market regulations like FRTB, ECB and CFTC are an added advantage
