Job Description

Role Summary:

The Lead, Learning and Development Excellence (Offshore) leads a team of L&D professionals in designing, developing, and implementing impactful learning solutions aligned with enterprise strategic objectives. Collaborating with onshore partners and business stakeholders, this role drives continuous improvement within the global Learning organization and fosters a Learning Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 10-15 L&D professionals (offshore), including hiring, coaching, performance management, and ensuring productivity.
  • Oversee end-to-end design, development, and implementation of non-technical learning solutions using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Partner with business-facing Learning Partners, HR leaders, and onshore colleagues to translate business needs into learning objectives, curriculum plans, and evaluation methods.
  • Develop and manage curricula using blended delivery methods: classroom, virtual instructor-led, eLearning, micro-learning.
  • Maintain cultural sensitivity in training materials for a global audience.
  • Establish and manage programs supporting functional workforce learning needs and monitor program effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on L&D trends and leverage vendor partnerships for innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to the enterprise Learning Center of Excellence and Community of Practice.
  • Promote a collaborative culture across geographically diverse teams.
  • Prioritize learning requests, define strategy, and oversee delivery aligned with business sectors and growth.
  • Liaise with different business units to develop process protocols promoting quality and relationship-based growth.

Qualifications:

  • Strong track record in Learning & Development, process management, and relationship building to maintain quality.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and eLearning delivery preferred.
  • Expertise in process excellence and service quality development.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Expert prioritization and delegation skills.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of instructional design, learning theories, and delivery methods.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools for eLearning (preferred).
  • Ability to translate abstract ideas into tactical, long-term learning solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Strategic mindset aligned with global business goals.
  • Diplomacy, tact, assertiveness, and active empathy in engagements.

Experience:

  • 12-15 years in designing and implementing learning solutions.
  • 5-7 years in leadership roles managing teams or projects.
  • Proven global/international collaboration experience.
  • Experience in managing large, complex projects or portfolios (preferred).
  • Strategic planning with enterprise scope.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations.
  • Skilled in collaborating across diverse socioeconomic and ethnic groups.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field (required).
  • Master's degree preferred.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to Director – Enterprise Learning & Development & Director – HR Shared Services.
  • Direct reports: 10-15 LMS Admins, Instructional Designers at various capacities.
