Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Microservices Engineer with strong expertise in modern backend engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Core Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, GCP, Kubernetes, and event-driven systems using Kafka / Pub-Sub.

You will design, build, and maintain secure, scalable microservices, collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, and contribute to high-quality code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-grade microservices using Core Java (Java 8+), Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate
• Architect and implement service-oriented and event-driven solutions (Kafka streaming, Pub-Sub)
• Build and maintain high-quality, low-complexity, testable code
• Develop RESTful web services and integrate with relational & NoSQL databases
• Deploy and run applications on GCP with Kubernetes, Helm, and modern cloud tools
• Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Harness) and GitHub
• Ensure observability, monitoring, and reliability of services
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders and product teams
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve production issues
• Follow best practices in system design, testing, and cloud-native development

Mandatory Skills

Strong problem-solving skills with solid DSA background

Core Java (Java 8 features at minimum), OOP, Multithreading

Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture

Experience with REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate

Hands-on experience with GCP (mandatory)

Kubernetes, Helm, and modern microservices deployment practices

Kafka / Pub-Sub and event-driven design patterns

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Harness)

GitHub

Strong communication & stakeholder management skills

Database experience: BigQuery / Spanner / PostgreSQL / SQL / NoSQL
