Lead Java Developer

Position: Java Full Stack Team Lead (with Cloud Experience)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Team Lead to take ownership of an existing web application and lead the engineering team. The role requires strong technical depth across modern frontend frameworks, backend systems, databases, and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (any cloud, preferably AWS). You will drive architecture decisions, define best practices, and mentor the team to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Execution

Own and evolve the frontend and full-stack architecture of the product.

Lead end-to-end design, implementation, and deployment of new features.

Work closely with backend engineers, designers, product teams, and DevOps.

Ensure smooth integration across frontend, backend, cloud, and database components.

Team Leadership & Code Quality

Lead, mentor, and guide frontend and full-stack developers.

Review code and maintain high engineering standards.

Facilitate architecture discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Frontend Development & Integration

Build high-quality, responsive UIs using React.js, Vue.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

Work with state management tools (Redux, Vuex, Pinia, Zustand, etc.).

Maintain shared component libraries and internal design systems.

Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs, including authentication and routing.

Backend & Database Expertise

Work with backend technologies like Node.js, Express, or serverless frameworks.

Contribute to API design, data modeling, and backend logic.

Experience with:

SQL: MySQL, PostgreSQL

NoSQL: MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar

Optimize data models, queries, performance, and indexing.

Cloud Experience (Any Cloud, Preferably AWS)

Practical experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Familiarity with cloud services such as serverless functions, cloud databases, cloud storage, IAM, and networking basics.

Experience using cloud-based CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.

Performance, Accessibility & Testing

Optimize for performance, SEO, accessibility, and responsiveness.

Implement automated tests using Jest, Cypress, or similar frameworks.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent UI behavior.

Required Skills

8+ years of professional frontend/full-stack experience.

3+ years in a Team Lead or Senior engineering role.

Strong expertise in React, Vue, JavaScript, TypeScript.

Solid understanding of REST and GraphQL integrations.

Strong SQL & NoSQL database expertise.

Cloud experience with any major provider (AWS preferred).

Proficiency with tools such as Vite, Webpack, Babel, ESLint, Prettier.

Strong engineering fundamentals (SOLID, DRY, clean architecture).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Node.js, Express, or serverless architectures.

Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud pipelines.

Experience with Figma, Storybook, and UI/UX best practices.

Understanding of accessibility guidelines and performance audits.

Background in agile or startup environments.
