Main purpose
We require an accomplished business analyst with in-depth experience of completing detailed business process analysis and requirement gathering to enable the delivery of complex software development projects.
Within this role, the candidate will be responsible for understand and verifying business cases for change, completing business process analysis, and defining business and functional requirements. This will be executed across multiple projects within the trading division. The candidate will manage relationships and expectations with business stakeholders and sponsors and support development and test teams throughout the entire delivery lifecycle.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to act as a bridge between the business and IT, documenting requirements and sharing them with worldwide audience.
- Ability to work independently as well as lead of team of business analysts and comfortable with managing a busy workload of changing priorities
- Candidate should have 7+ years experience of requirements analysis in a commercial environment
- It's a plus to have experience working in complex project environment for delivery of IT programme
- Candidate should be an expert in a number of the following business processes:
o Bank Account Management and Treasury Operations arising from:
Physical Trading (purchase and sales invoice settlement)
Trade Finance (risk management and money market instruments)
Corporate Funding (cash management and internal loans)
Risk Management of FX and Physical Exposure (derivative trade settlement)
Structured Trade Finance (counterparty loans)
o Bank Account Management and Treasury Operations, including:
Bank Account Management
Cash Management
Payment Order Workflows and Authorisations
Payment Instructions, Settlements & Confirmations
Bank Balance and Bank Statement Reconciliation
Experience of some of the System solutions that support the following:
Physical Trading and Risk Management (e.g. Openlink or Allegro)
Derivative Trading and Risk Management (e.g. Murex)
Treasury Management (e.g. Quantum)
Payments and Settlement (e.g. FIDES, FIX)
Bank Reconciliation (e.g. MT950 & Intelllimatch)
Accounting (e.g. Oracle)
Reporting (e.g. Business Objects or QlikView)
- Additional experience in migrations and interfaces with other systems
- Demonstrable ability to drive business process changes - challenging current business practices, working with key business process personnel
- Working knowledge (including design and configuration) of any TMS application e.g. ION-IT2, Oracle Treasury, SAP TRM, etc.
- Strong experience with corporate funding, treasury, and related accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility is the determination & clear articulation of business requirements for the business processes listed above
- Stakeholder management to ensure the solution meets business requirements and there are no business surprises for go-live
- Work with the functional architecture team to ensure solution designs fit within the overall system landscape and adhere to all design principles
- Detail story elaboration to enable the system development
- Support development teams to ensure a solution meets its business requirements
- Quality assurance of any technical requirements produced by off-shore teams against business requirements produced through business engagements
- Key point of functional escalation for technical and QA teams during requirement development & testing
