Job Description

Job Purpose

  • To lead the Investor Relations (IR) function while actively supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) initiatives. The role will focus on building a strong investment narrative, managing investor relationships, and supporting inorganic growth strategies, including deal evaluation, execution, and communication.

  • A leading Indian specialty chemicals company engaged in the custom synthesis and manufacturing of high-value specialty chemicals having application in the Agrochemicals, Pharmaceutical, Personal Care industry and performance materials catering to a diversified global customer base across polymer additives, pigments & dyes and electronic chemicals.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Relations & Capital Markets

  • Experience leading end-to-end Investor Relations strategy for a listed organization.
  • Strong track record of managing earnings calls, investor meetings, analyst interactions, and roadshows.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and research houses.
  • Expertise in preparing investor presentations, annual reports, earnings materials, and market disclosures.
  • Capability to effectively communicate business performance, strategy, and growth outlook to the investment community.

Strategy Communication & Positioning

  • Ability to articulate and simplify complex business strategies into a compelling investment narrative.
  • Experience partnering with CXOs and Board members on external stakeholder communication.
  • Proven track record in enhancing company visibility, market perception, and valuation positioning.
  • Ability to ensure consistency and clarity across all external communication channels.

M&A Strategy & Execution

  • Experience identifying and evaluating acquisition, partnership, and investment opportunities.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and transaction structuring capabilities.
  • Hands-on involvement in due diligence, negotiations, and deal execution processes.
  • Ability to manage external advisors, investment bankers, legal teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting post-merger integration and tracking value creation from completed transactions.

Market Intelligence & Insights

  • Ability to track industry trends, competitive landscape, and investor sentiment.
  • Experience conducting peer benchmarking and valuation analysis.
  • Strong understanding of market expectations and key shareholder concerns.
  • Capability to provide actionable insights into leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Knowledge of sector-specific trends, particularly within manufacturing, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or process industries.

Compliance & Governance

  • Strong understanding of SEBI regulations, listing obligations, and disclosure requirements.
  • Experience managing quarterly earnings releases and stock exchange filings.
  • Ability to ensure accuracy, governance, and transparency in all investor communications.
  • Experience collaborating with legal, compliance, and finance teams on regulatory matters.
  • Strong awareness of corporate governance best practices and risk management frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Ability to work closely with Finance, Strategy, Business Heads, Legal, and Compliance teams.
  • Experience serving as a bridge between business operations and external stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple functions.
  • Proven capability in building, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams.

Qualification & Experience

  • CA, MBA (Finance), CFA, or equivalent qualification from a reputed institution.
  • 12–15 years of relevant experience across Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, M&A, Strategy, Investment Banking, or Equity Research.
  • Experience within listed manufacturing, specialty chemicals, pharmaceutical, or process industry organizations.
  • Demonstrated exposure to institutional investors, analysts, rating agencies, and investment bankers.
  • Experience engaging with global investors and managing international stakeholder relationships.
