About the Role

We are looking for a creative, result-oriented, and experienced Lead Interior Designer to join Houzlook Interiors. The candidate will be responsible for leading the design team, handling client projects end-to-end, achieving individual revenue/design targets, and ensuring overall team performance and project delivery standards.

The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, client-handling capabilities, excellent design knowledge, and the ability to drive business growth while maintaining high-quality design standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Client Management
  • Lead residential and commercial interior design projects from concept to execution.
  • Understand client requirements, preferences, budget, and timelines.
  • Create innovative design concepts, space planning, mood boards, and presentations.
  • Conduct client meetings and provide design consultations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, site teams, project managers, and execution teams.
  • Ensure timely project delivery with high-quality standards.
  • Handle escalations and provide effective design solutions.
Individual Responsibilities & TargetsIndividual Revenue/Business Targets
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales/revenue targets assigned by management.
  • Convert qualified leads into successful design projects.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Improve client satisfaction scores through quality design delivery and communication.
  • Ensure timely closure of design proposals and quotations.
Individual Performance KPIs
  • Number of client conversions achieved monthly.
  • Monthly revenue generated through individual projects.
  • Client satisfaction and feedback ratings.
  • Design presentation quality and approval ratio.
  • Timely completion of assigned projects.
  • Coordination efficiency with execution and vendor teams.
Team Leadership ResponsibilitiesTeam Management
  • Lead, mentor, and guide junior and mid-level designers.
  • Allocate projects and monitor team productivity.
  • Conduct regular design reviews and team meetings.
  • Ensure the team follows company SOPs, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new designers.
  • Maintain team motivation and performance discipline.

  • Ensure the team collectively achieves monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Improve overall team conversion ratios and project closure rates.
  • Maintain project completion timelines across all ongoing projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • 6+ years of experience in Interior Design with team-handling experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V-Ray, Photoshop, and rendering tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of materials, execution processes, and vendor coordination.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong commercial understanding and target-driven mindset.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in luxury residential interiors.
  • Knowledge of modular furniture and turnkey projects.
  • Strong client-conversion and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage high-pressure project environments.
