Location : Chennai / Bengaluru (Travel to Colleges as Required)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Instructional Designer & Employability Trainer to build and continuously enhance learning journeys that improve placement outcomes for college students.

This is not a content marketing, social media, copywriting, or generic corporate L&D role.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing placement-readiness and employability programs for college students and fresh graduates. The role requires a deep understanding of campus recruitment, employability assessments, aptitude training, communication skills, interview preparation, workplace readiness, and corporate hiring expectations.

The individual will own the design of learning frameworks, curricula, assessments, training interventions, and employability pathways across all ProSculpt offerings while also delivering selected training programs.

The role works closely with placement officers, recruiters, hiring managers, trainers, and industry experts to ensure every learning intervention directly improves student employability and placement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Architecture & Learning Design

Design and continuously improve end-to-end employability and placement-readiness curricula across:

• ProSculpt Employability Test (PET)

• ProSculpt Lite

• ProSculpt Level Up

• ProSculpt Club

Develop structured learning pathways covering:

• Quantitative Aptitude

• Logical Reasoning

• Verbal Ability

• Reading Comprehension

• Communication Skills

• Group Discussions

• Personal Interviews

• Resume Building

• LinkedIn Optimization

• Corporate Etiquette

• Workplace Readiness

• Business Communication

• Excel & Data Literacy

• AI Tools for Productivity

• Career Planning & Professional Development

Design semester-wise and year-wise learning journeys for students from entry into college through final placements.

Develop:

• Curriculum frameworks

• Learning outcomes

• Session plans

• Facilitator guides

• Student workbooks

• Assessments

• Practice exercises

• Assignments

• Projects

• Case studies

• Capstone activities

Ensure all content is outcome-driven, practical, industry-relevant, and aligned to employer expectations.

2. Placement Training Program Design

Design comprehensive placement preparation programs aligned to campus hiring requirements across IT, BFSI, Consulting, Manufacturing, Shared Services, GCCs, Startups, and Emerging Industries.

Create structured preparation frameworks for:

• Campus Placement Drives

• Online Assessments

• Aptitude Tests

• Group Discussions

• HR Interviews

• Technical Interviews

• Case Interviews

• Assessment Centres

Build specialized preparation modules for employers such as:

• TCS

• Infosys

• Accenture

• Cognizant

• Wipro

• HCL

• Deloitte

• EY

• KPMG

• Capgemini

and other major campus recruiters.

Develop targeted intervention plans based on assessment outcomes and skill-gap analysis.

3. Employability Assessment Design

Design and continuously improve employability assessment frameworks covering:

• Aptitude

• Verbal Ability

• Communication Skills

• Psychometrics

• Workplace Readiness

• AI Literacy

• Excel Literacy

• Domain Readiness

Create:

• Question banks

• Competency frameworks

• Scoring rubrics

• Evaluation criteria

• Learning benchmarks

Use assessment insights to identify learning gaps and recommend targeted interventions for colleges and student cohorts.

Work closely with the product team to enhance the effectiveness of ProSculpt Employability Test (PET).

4. Corporate Hiring Alignment

Engage with recruiters, hiring managers, business leaders, and industry practitioners to understand evolving expectations from fresh graduates.

Translate employer feedback into curriculum enhancements and training interventions.

Maintain an Employer Expectations Framework that captures:

• Hiring trends

• Emerging skills

• Workplace expectations

• Role-specific competencies

Ensure ProSculpt programs remain aligned with real-world hiring requirements.

5. Training Delivery & Faculty Development

Personally facilitate selected training programs in areas such as:

• Employability Skills

• Communication Skills

• Interview Preparation

• Workplace Readiness

• Career Development

• Professional Etiquette

• AI Productivity Tools

Conduct:

• Placement Bootcamps

• Mock Interview Sessions

• Assessment Preparation Workshops

• Career Readiness Workshops

Train and certify internal and external trainers to ensure standardized delivery quality across colleges.

Evaluate trainer effectiveness and continuously improve training quality.

6. Learning Innovation & Product Enhancement

Leverage modern learning methodologies including:

• AI-enabled learning tools

• Simulations

• Mock Interviews

• Gamification

• Experiential Learning

• Scenario-Based Assessments

Benchmark ProSculpt offerings against leading employability, assessment, and placement-readiness programs.

Recommend new programs, modules, certifications, and learning experiences based on market demand and hiring trends.

Success Metrics

The success of this role will be measured through:

• Improvement in student employability scores

• Pre- and post-training assessment improvement

• Placement readiness scores

• Student engagement and completion rates

• Placement conversion rates

• Recruiter validation of program effectiveness

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong instructional design and curriculum architecture expertise

• Deep understanding of campus recruitment and employability development

• Ability to design outcome-based learning journeys

• Expertise in aptitude, communication, interview preparation, and placement readiness programs

• Strong facilitation and classroom delivery skills

• Assessment design and competency framework development experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to simplify complex concepts for student audiences

• Data-driven approach to learning effectiveness and program improvement

• Familiarity with LMS platforms, AI learning tools, Google Workspace, and content development tools

Ideal Background

Essential

• 4–10 years of experience in Instructional Design, Curriculum Design, Employability Training, Placement Training, Learning & Development, or EdTech Learning Design

• Experience designing employability or placement-readiness programs for colleges, universities, training institutions, or EdTech companies

• Experience creating curriculum for aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, communication skills, interview preparation, workplace readiness, or professional development

• Prior experience delivering classroom or virtual training programs

• Experience designing assessments, question banks, scoring rubrics, and competency frameworks

• Strong understanding of campus hiring and fresher recruitment processes

Preferred

• Experience working with Training & Placement Offices (TPOs)

• Experience with employability assessments such as AMCAT, CoCubes, Mercer Mettl, Wheebox, SHL, or similar platforms

• Exposure to CAT, aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, GRE, GMAT, or competitive examination curriculum design

• Experience training engineering, MBA, arts & science, commerce, or diploma students

• Understanding of hiring requirements across IT, BFSI, Consulting, Manufacturing, Shared Services, and GCC sectors
