Job Responsibilities
- Participate in team talent evaluation activities as needed.
- Plan, track, and manage technology infrastructure usage to optimize delivery and cost.
- Assist management with performance appraisal inputs and processes.
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation, validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
- Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within delivery and automation routines to identify recurring issues and validate remediation options, ensuring changes are traceable/auditable and aligned to resiliency and security expectations and create original documentation and maintain/update existing documentation.
- Operate independently and apply critical thinking to complex, ambiguous issues.
- Serve as escalation point for 40x/50x/60x level team members.Advocate for the customer base during Infrastructure- or Business-Critical issues.
- Communicate complex technical findings clearly and concisely to management.
- Collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals across the firm to achieve shared goals.
- Own day-to-day incident/problem management for major global data-impacting issues, act as SME in 2â€3 technologies, run bridges/tickets, and partner with Network Engineering on bug fixes, design changes, and code upgrades.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 7+ years of applied experience
- Network operations/infrastructure support experience with proven ability to lead P1 (Priority 1) technical bridges.
- Deep knowledge of network infrastructure components and how they are tracked/managed across systems.
- Proficiency in more than one infrastructure technology domain.
- Strong understanding of risk and controls landscape ability to meet companywide standards.
- Customer-centric execution experience in a global banking/exchange/technology environment.
- Proven enterprise network topology expertise (routing/switching, datacenter, wireless, security/services, load balancing, proxy, optical transport).
- Expertise in multicast, low-latency networks, and market data-related technologies and strong experience with protocol analyzers and capacity/monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, SevOne, ThousandEyes).
- Ability to use/learn scripting (Python/Ansible), apply version/revision control practices, work in Linux, communicate effectively, and perform in a mission-critical 24x7 high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support infrastructure engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
Ability to review and validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation, escalating when uncertain and ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations.
