THE ROLE

This role exists to ensure smooth, compliant, and disruption-free plant operations by owning day-to-day IR, administration and workforce management. You will work closely with plant leadership to drive on-ground execution, enforce discipline, ensure statutory compliance, and maintain a safe, stable, and efficient work environment. This is a hands-on role with zero tolerance for compliance gaps, safety risks, or operational disruption.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

– Execute manpower planning and manage contract labour, vendor compliance, and billing within approved budgets.

– Lead end-to-end hiring and onboarding for plant roles with speed, quality, and shopfloor readiness.

– Ensure a stable plant environment by managing grievances, worker interactions, and domestic enquiries.

– Maintain compliance with labour laws (Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.) and liaise with authorities, inspectors, and legal bodies.

– Own day-to-day IR operations including floor walks, documentation, and data accuracy.

– Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards; drive near-miss and incident reduction in coordination with Factory Head. Enforce discipline, safe work practices, and overall shopfloor governance.

– Manage administration including security, housekeeping, canteen, transport, and welfare facilities.

– Drive employee engagement, communication forums, and initiatives to strengthen morale and retention.

– Support performance management, build and maintain skill matrix, and drive training and capability development for plant workforce.

– Implement SOPs and ensure role clarity, accountability, and process adherence across the plant.

– Monitor vendors and ensure manpower costs within budgets.

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

– Not a desk-based role, requires strong shopfloor presence, daily floor walks, and real-time problem solving and flagging risks to management.

– Not a corporate HR strategy or HRBP or Policy-making role, this is a hands-on role focused on IR.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

– 5–8 years in IR in manufacturing.

– Strong hands-on experience in labour law compliance.

– Working understanding of shop floor workforce handling.

– High work discipline, execution focus and professional conduct.

– Ability to handle conflict, and on-ground realities with high maturity.

– Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and experience in Power BI or similar dashboarding tools

– Degree/ Certification or coursework in Indian Labour Laws / Industrial Relations / Industrial Safety / EHS.

– Fluency in Marathi and Hindi language.
