Job Description

Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide professional advice and technical expertise to support development, review and implementation of HSE Management System
  • Assist HSE HOD to evaluate the effectiveness of the HSE Management System
  • Performs a range of HSE activities to monitor compliance
  • Assist in the implementation of HSE strategic plans across RPMG
  • Plan and execute Project site visits to audit RPMG and contractor personnel compliance for HSE Management System
  • Plan, conduct and monitor execution of HSE training program to support safety competence of RPMG and contractor personnel
  • Participate in incident investigation related to HSE issues
  • Attend project meetings, HSE meetings and other HSE forums and consult with the Project Management team and contractors on HSE issues/requirements
  • Prepare and communicate records required to meet RIL and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and interface with intergroup disciplines and Project sites departments to facilitate compliance
  • Help HSE HOD in staffing and recruitment efforts
  • Other related duties/functions as assigned

Education Requirement :


Required:

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in Science, Engineering, Technology with Post Graduate/ Diploma in Industrial Safety

Desirable:


  • Master's degree in HSE related field
  • International/ National HSE certification
  • International project experience

Experience Requirement :


Required:

  • 10 -15 years of HSE related experience or 15 years of project / engineering experience

Desirable:


  • 10 years construction related HSE experience

Skills & Competencies :


  • Ability to manage and guide a team of HSE professionals for a medium to large projects
  • Knowledge in HSE Management System
  • Knowledge of Regulatory compliance and standards
  • Ability to guide, mentor and develop HSE team members
  • Ability to identify training need, development of training modules and impart trainings.
  • Knowledge in Emergency prevention and response planning
  • Expert knowledge in planning, performance review and continuous improvement for safety
  • Competent in incident investigation and to suggest preventive measures
  • Must possess leadership skills including mediation skills
  • High critical thinking/reasoning ability
  • Effective communication, presentation, public speaking and report writing skills
