Job Description

Job Responsibilities :

Provide professional advice and technical expertise to support development, review and implementation of HSE Management System
Assist HSE HOD to evaluate the effectiveness of the HSE Management System
Performs a range of HSE activities to monitor compliance
Assist in the implementation of HSE strategic plans across RPMG
Plan and execute Project site visits to audit RPMG and contractor personnel compliance for HSE Management System
Plan, conduct and monitor execution of HSE training program to support safety competence of RPMG and contractor personnel
Participate in incident investigation related to HSE issues
Attend project meetings, HSE meetings and other HSE forums and consult with the Project Management team and contractors on HSE issues/requirements
Prepare and communicate records required to meet RIL and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and interface with intergroup disciplines and Project sites departments to facilitate compliance
Help HSE HOD in staffing and recruitment efforts
Other related duties/functions as assigned

Education Requirement :

Required:

Graduate / Post Graduate in Science, Engineering, Technology with Post Graduate/ Diploma in Industrial Safety

Desirable:

Experience Requirement :

Required:

10 -15 years of HSE related experience or 15 years of project / engineering experience

Desirable:

Skills & Competencies :

Ability to manage and guide a team of HSE professionals for a medium to large projects
Knowledge in HSE Management System
Knowledge of Regulatory compliance and standards
Ability to guide, mentor and develop HSE team members
Ability to identify training need, development of training modules and impart trainings.
Knowledge in Emergency prevention and response planning
Expert knowledge in planning, performance review and continuous improvement for safety
Competent in incident investigation and to suggest preventive measures
Must possess leadership skills including mediation skills
High critical thinking/reasoning ability
Effective communication, presentation, public speaking and report writing skills
