Job Title: Lead HR Business Partner Wholesale Banking

Function/Department

Location: Mumbai

The Lead HR Business Partner for Wholesale Banking will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with business priorities. This role is responsible for driving the adoption of HR practices, enabling talent development, and enhancing employee productivity through effective performance management. The incumbent will also play a key role in succession planning, employee engagement, and embedding the organization's cultural tenets across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Understand business priorities and align the business structure with the Target Operating Model.
  • Drive the implementation and adoption of all HR agendas, practices, and policies within business teams.
  • Support succession planning by identifying successors for critical roles and ensuring employee development.
  • Partner with Learning & Development and Talent teams to identify and coach high-potential talent.
  • Lead the Performance Management process, enabling meaningful conversations to enhance productivity and ensure fairness.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Promote alignment with the organization's strategy, vision, and cultural promise.
  • Define and drive the adoption of cultural practices that reflect the organization's values.
  • Design and implement innovative employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support local HR initiatives and contribute to business-driven programs.
  • Foster a culture of good governance in HR and employee relations.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure timely staffing of key roles.

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 10 years of experience in HR business partnering, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven ability to manage HR processes across talent, performance, and engagement.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business needs into HR actions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
