Job Description

  • Lead the end-to-end HR function for the business unit, acting as the primary HR partner to site leadership.
  • Manage industrial relations, employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and workforce conflict resolution.
  • Oversee blue-collar and contract workforce management, including attendance, absenteeism, productivity, and workforce discipline.
  • Drive recruitment and onboarding for frontline and site-based roles, ensuring timely hiring and smooth employee integration.
  • Manage the complete employee lifecycle including confirmations, transfers, employee documentation, exits, and final settlements.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, contract labour regulations, and internal HR policies.
  • Maintain HR records, statutory documentation, and audit readiness across all people processes.
  • Partner with payroll, finance, operations, administration, security, and EHS teams to ensure seamless workforce operations.
  • Drive employee engagement, communication, welfare initiatives, and site-level culture-building activities.
  • Support performance management processes and coach managers on employee handling and people-related decisions.
  • Monitor and report key workforce metrics including headcount, attrition, absenteeism, hiring, and disciplinary cases.
  • Implement HR policies, process improvements, and workforce planning initiatives to support business continuity and operational efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with employees and managers while maintaining a balanced approach to employee welfare and business needs.
  • Act as the single point of contact for all HR matters and ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations in a lean environment.

The Successful Applicant

  • 12+ years of HR experience, with a significant part of that experience in an industrial setup, manufacturing environment, warehouse/logistics park, plant, or other labour-intensive operating environment.
  • Proven hands-on experience in managing HR operations in a lean setup, without heavy dependence on large shared teams.
  • Strong practical experience in industrial relations and blue-collar workforce management.
  • Sound experience in handling employee grievances, disciplinary matters, absenteeism, workforce issues, and contract labour-related concerns.
  • Good working knowledge of applicable labour laws and statutory compliance requirements relevant to industrial operations.
