Main Purpose:
To lead and manage the geotechnical application support team, ensuring effective support and optimization of geotechnical, geological, and subsurface workflows, particularly in projects. The role involves overseeing application architecture, licensing, and integration, while providing expert troubleshooting and stakeholder management.
Job Accountabilities:
- Lead the application support team to ensure seamless operation and optimization of geotechnical and geological workflows.
- Manage enterprise application architecture, licensing models, and system integrations.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and analytical support to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and deliver solutions.
- Oversee the performance monitoring, application logs, and system diagnostics to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Ensure compliance with subsurface, drilling, and geotechnical data standards.
Skills Required:
- Strong expertise in geotechnical, geological, and subsurface workflows, preferably in Clean energy projects.
- Proven leadership skills in managing application support teams within technical or engineering environments.
- In-depth understanding of enterprise application architecture, licensing models, and integrations.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience supporting geotechnical and geoscience software platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments.
- Expertise in spatial and non-spatial databases (Oracle / PostgreSQL / SQL Server).
- Exposure to scripting or automation (Python / Shell).
- Familiarity with performance monitoring, application logs, and system diagnostics.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in a relevant technical or engineering environment, with proven experience in leading application support teams.
Preferred Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Geotechnical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Computer Science) OR a Master's/Postgraduate degree in Geology, Geophysics, Applied Geosciences, or Geotechnical Engineering.
