Role OverviewWe are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Lead Generation Specialist (up to 2 years of experience) to build and execute structured, high-quality outbound motions. This role focuses on generating qualified discovery meetings with senior stakeholders and directly contributing to SQL pipeline creation. You will own outbound execution and optimization — working closely with BDMs and marketing to drive predictable meeting flow.
What will you be doingAccount & ICP Development
- Build and maintain ICP-based target account lists with a primary focus on companies in Data Science, Data Engineering, Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, and Generative AI spaces.
- Identify and research prospects — including AI product companies, Gen AI startups, and enterprise companies building or scaling data and AI capabilities.
- Conduct deep account research, including product, tech stack, org structure, and growth signals.
- Identify key decision-makers within target accounts and tailor outreach messaging accordingly.
Outbound Campaign Execution
- Plan and execute multi-channel outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and phone.
- Design and run structured, multi-step outreach sequences.
- Craft personalized outreach copy tailored to role and industry context.
- Make cold calls, handle objections, and drive conversations toward booked discovery calls.
- Continuously test and optimize subject lines, cadences, and messaging for better performance.
Lead Qualification & Meeting Booking
- Qualify prospects based on fit, authority, intent, and timing.
- Book high-quality discovery meetings aligned with ideal customer profiles.
- Focus on SQL-quality meetings with senior stakeholders — not just volume.
CRM & Reporting (Apollo.io-led)
- Use Apollo.io as the primary CRM, prospecting, and system of record.
- Manage contact lists, sequences, and task queues within Apollo.io.
- Maintain accurate lead status, pipeline stages, and activity tracking.
- Deliver weekly and monthly reporting on activities, meetings booked, show rates, and SQL pipeline created using Apollo.io analytics.
Collaboration & Optimization
- Work closely with BDMs and marketing to refine messaging and ICPs.
- Leverage AI tools, Gen AI platforms (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar), and modern sales tools to enhance research, copywriting, and personalization at scale.
- Use performance data to continuously improve reply rates, meeting conversion, and list quality.
What we need from you: Required Skills- Up to 2 years of hands-on experience with outbound lead generation or inside sales, preferably within IT services, Data Science, Data Engineering, AI, or Gen AI solution companies.
- Proven ability to book qualified discovery meetings with senior stakeholders (Founder, C-level, VP, Head of Product/Engineering/Operations) in domestic or global markets.
- Strong working knowledge of Apollo.io — including contact lists, sequences, reporting, and CRM workflows.
- Hands-on experience with modern sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, Instantly, or similar platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English — comfortable engaging across email, LinkedIn, and phone.
- Strong research capability to create personalized, role- and industry-specific outreach.
- Comfortable handling cold calls and early-stage objections confidently.
- Comfortable using AI and Gen AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to improve outreach quality, automate research, and draft personalized messaging.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track, analyze, and act on outreach performance metrics.
- Process-oriented and collaborative — able to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with an ownership mindset and ability to meet clear monthly targets.
Nice-to-Have Skills- Exposure to B2B sales targeting Data Science, Data Engineering, AI, Gen AI, or Industry 4.0 companies.
- Understanding of the AI and Gen AI landscape — including key players, use cases, and buying personas — to engage prospects meaningfully.
- Familiarity with how Data Engineering and Data Science services support AI and Gen AI product development.
- Basic awareness of targeted outreach and account prioritization is a plus.
- Familiarity with Data Science, Data Engineering, or Industry 4.0 concepts — enough to speak credibly with technical buyers.
- Exposure to Generative AI trends and use cases — understanding how AI is being applied in enterprise data and automation contexts.
- Experience using AI-powered sales or productivity tools to improve outbound efficiency.
- Prior experience contributing to revenue pipeline in a startup or SME setting.
- Comfort with remote collaboration tools and async communication workflows.
Qualifications- Up to 2 years of experience in Lead Generation, Inside Sales, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Mandatory: Hands-on experience with outbound BD/sales tools accumulated through full-time work, internships, freelance, or academic projects.
- A genuine hunger to grow with a company and take ownership of business outcomes.
- MBA Freshers with a specialization in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate hands-on experience with outbound tools through internships, live projects.
