Role Overview

We are looking for a Lead Generation & Business Development Specialist with hands-on experience in PR or integrated communications agencies. The role focuses on identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities across corporate PR, brand communications, digital PR, and reputation management.

The ideal candidate understands how PR agencies pitch, price, and close mandates, and can build a strong pipeline through strategic outreach, networking, and relationship-building.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and generate qualified inbound and outbound leads for PR and communications services.
  • Build and maintain a strong prospect database across corporates, startups, founders, CMOs, and marketing heads.
  • Leverage platforms like LinkedIn, email outreach, networking events, referrals, and industry forums.
  • Research target industries and brands to identify pitch-ready opportunities.

Business Development & Conversions

  • Own the end-to-end BD cycle: lead qualification meetings proposal coordination closure.
  • Coordinate with PR, digital, and strategy teams to develop customized pitch decks and proposals.
  • Support negotiations on commercials, scopes, and retainers.
  • Track pipeline progress and closures against monthly and quarterly targets.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with prospects, partners, and ex-clients.
  • Maintain a warm pipeline for future opportunities and cross-selling.
  • Ensure smooth handover of closed accounts to servicing teams.

Reporting & Process

  • Maintain accurate BD tracking on CRM / trackers.
  • Share weekly and monthly reports on leads, meetings, conversions, and revenue.
  • Continuously refine outreach and lead-gen processes to improve conversion rates.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 36 years of BD / lead generation experience in a PR or integrated communications agency.
  • Strong understanding of PR services: corporate PR, brand PR, digital PR, influencer marketing, reputation management.
  • Proven ability to generate leads and close retainers.
  • Excellent communication, pitching, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders (CXOs, founders, marketing heads).
  • Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email outreach tools, and CRM systems.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and process-focused.

Good to Have

  • Existing network within media, startup, or corporate ecosystems.
  • Experience working on large pitches, RFPs, and multi-service mandates.
  • Exposure to digital, content, or social media services as part of BD.
  • Ability to identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
