Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, high-ownership Lead Full-Stack Engineer to take over the technical roadmap of our financial data platform. You will be responsible for maintaining and scaling a financial reporting platform and building high-performance web-based Excel integrations to support audit and tax professionals.
As the technical anchor of the project, you will make all architectural decisions, unblock the team through hands-on troubleshooting, and mentor junior talent to ensure code quality and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Own the end-to-end technical strategy for an Angular, OfficeJS (Frontend) and Flask (Backend) ecosystem.
- Server Deployment: Deployment of web applications on internal/company servers and manage production uptime and incident response.
- Advanced Office Integration: Develop and maintain web-based Excel Add-ins using Office.js to bridge the gap between our platform and professional financial workflows.
- Mentorship: Act as the primary technical mentor for junior developers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Technical Initiative: Identify potential bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions without waiting for external direction.
Technical Requirements
- Frontend - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular (Latest versions), TypeScript, RxJS.
- Backend - Python, Flask, Pandas, RESTful API design, SQL Server.
- DevOps/Tools - Git, Apache, Backend & Frontend deployment [Apache / NGINX]
- Office Ecosystem - Office.js, Excel Add-in development (Strongly preferred but not required).
Qualifications & Soft Skills
- Experience: 5+ years in full-stack development, preferably within FinTech.
- Ownership Mentality: A proven track record of taking initiative and solving complex technical challenges independently.
- Leadership: Experience mentoring junior staff and making high-level architectural decisions.
Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear instructions for stakeholders, and junior peers.
