The Opportunity
Quorum is seeking a Lead Full-Stack Engineer to own the technical design, development, and long-term success of a portfolio of AI-native platforms and operational solutions within Cloud Operations.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an engineer who enjoys building products, establishing practical engineering standards, and owning production outcomes. You will serve as the primary technical lead and code owner while partnering with Cloud Operations, engineering peers, architects, platform teams, and business stakeholders.
The initial focus is QPOP, the Quorum Platform Operations Portal, an Azure-native internal platform that brings service management, change management, estate visibility, customer relationships, and operational workflows into a unified experience. As the portfolio grows, the role will also deliver governed AI agents, agentic workflows, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations .
What You Will Own:
- Application architecture and code quality across the assigned portfolio, including module boundaries, integrations, data models, testing standards, and production readiness.
- Engineering standards for code review, automated testing, CI/CD quality gates, documentation, observability, security, and an AI-enabled software development lifecycle (AI SDLC).
- Technical delivery from design through production support, working with partner teams rather than operating as a standalone contributor.
- Repository governance, including code ownership, reusable development patterns, AI-development guidance, prompt and agent assets, evaluation criteria, and review controls.
What You Will Do:
- Deliver full-stack application modules from design through build, integration, verification, release, and ongoing support.
- Build workflow integrations with enterprise platforms such as Azure DevOps, Microsoft Entra ID, Salesforce, PagerDuty, Microsoft Fabric, and related internal systems.
- Design reliable integration patterns using idempotency, webhooks, retries, reconciliation, failure recovery, and traceable audit records.
- Implement enterprise authentication and authorization using OIDC/OAuth 2.0, Microsoft Entra ID, and role-based access control.
- Build metadata-driven forms, service catalogs, request workflows, and rules-driven user experiences.
- Design and develop governed AI agents, MCP servers, assistants, and agentic workflows that take approved actions through well-defined tools, permission checks, human approval points, and complete audit trails.
- Embed AI-assisted engineering into the SDLC, including planning, code generation, test creation, documentation, code review, security validation, and controlled promotion, while ensuring engineers remain accountable for every change.
- Deliver applications and infrastructure through GitHub Actions, OIDC, Bicep, and controlled promotion across development, non-production, and production environments.
- Create automated unit, integration, API, and end-to-end tests that provide confidence in releases.
- Participate in the appropriate production support and on-call rotation, with shared operational ownership across the team.
- Document architecture, operational procedures, key decisions, and support requirements as part of normal delivery.
- And other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience delivering production full-stack applications using modern React, Next.js, TypeScript, and server-side APIs.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and long-term ownership of a production codebase, including architecture decisions, engineering standards, code review, and mentoring.
- Experience delivering production software through an AI-enabled SDLC using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Cline, Roo Code, Windsurf, or equivalent platforms.
- Ability to explain how AI-generated code, prompts, agent behavior, and tool integrations were reviewed, tested, evaluated, corrected, secured, and governed before production release.
- Experience building enterprise integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, asynchronous messaging, retries, reconciliation, and failure recovery.
- Strong SQL data modeling experience, including schema migrations, entity resolution, and traceable audit records.
- Experience implementing enterprise identity and authorization using OIDC/OAuth 2.0 and role-based access control.
- Proficiency with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code using GitHub Actions and Bicep, Terraform, or comparable technologies.
- Strong automated testing experience across unit, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Production troubleshooting and observability experience across logs, metrics, traces, health checks, dashboards, and alerts.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across international teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Claude Code experience, including planning modes, subagents, repository guidance, hooks, skills, automated evaluations, or headless CI execution.
- Experience building and operating LLM assistants or AI agents with tool use, streaming responses, conversation state, evaluations, observability, safety controls, and orchestration of actions against real systems.
- Experience designing or consuming MCP servers and working with Anthropic APIs, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, model gateways, or equivalent AI platforms.
- Experience building metadata-driven forms, low-code platforms, service catalogs, or rules-driven user interfaces.
- Experience with Azure DevOps work-item APIs and service hooks.
- Experience with Fastify, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Azure Service Bus, Azure Container Apps, Azure App Service, and Azure Key Vault.
- Experience with durable orchestration using Azure Durable Task Scheduler, Temporal, or an equivalent platform.
- Experience with Microsoft Graph, Okta APIs, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI REST APIs, or Cloudflare Zero Trust.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui.
Success in the First 90 Days:
- Become productive in the application architecture, codebase, delivery pipeline, and operational model.
- Deliver a semi-production application into production for use by its intended audiences, with defined acceptance criteria, appropriate controls, operational documentation, monitoring, and a support model.
- Implement or improve module-level RBAC, health endpoints, automated testing, and observability where applicable.
- Build effective working relationships with Cloud Operations, architecture, platform, security, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in technical planning, production-readiness reviews, and the applicable support model.
Technology Environment:
The current environment includes Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Container Apps, Azure App Service, Bicep, GitHub Actions with OIDC, Azure Key Vault, Application Insights, Azure Service Bus, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Prisma, Fastify, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Anthropic Claude enterprise APIs, Cloudflare Zero Trust, and Vitest.
