Global Link, a division of State Street Global Markets, is a leader in providing electronic trading platforms across multiple asset classes. Our platforms are used by 19 of the top 20 global asset managers to execute trades and manage posttrade settlement processes.

The team builds highscale, missioncritical trading applications handling hundreds of billions of dollars in AUM. Our products use modern web technologies on the front end and are integrated with distributed backend systems built on Java, Node.js, and Oracle. The platform is undergoing a major rearchitecture to microservices and cloudnative deployment on AWS/Kubernetes.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Senior FrontEnd / UI Engineer with strong expertise in React JS, GraphQL, and modern UI frameworks to build highly responsive, performant, and intuitive user interfaces for electronic trading and analytics platforms.

The ideal candidate is handson, passionate about UI engineering excellence, and experienced in building dataintensive, realtime web applications.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

• Design and develop modern, scalable frontend applications using React and related UI technologies.
• Build reusable UI components and design systems with a focus on performance, usability, and accessibility.
• Integrate UI applications with backend services via GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Collaborate closely with backend, product, and UX teams to define UI architecture and data contracts.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, UI architecture diagrams, and component guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high code quality and best practices.
• Support deployment, testing, production rollout, and ongoing support activities.
• Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and enterprise UI standards.

Required Qualifications:

Core FrontEnd Skills (Priority #1)

• Strong experience with React JS (functional components, hooks, context, state management).
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) / TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and crossbrowser compatibility.
• Proven experience building highperformance, datadriven UI applications.

API & Data Integration (Priority #2)

• Handson experience with GraphQL (queries, mutations, schema understanding, Apollo/Relay).
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.
• Experience handling realtime or near realtime data in UI applications.

UI Architecture & Tooling (Priority #3)

• Experience with modern UI build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Babel.
• Familiarity with microfrontend or modular UI architectures.
• Experience deploying UI applications in cloudnative environments (AWS, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.

Strong Plus / NicetoHave Skills:

• UI frameworks and libraries such as Material UI, Ant Design, Tailwind, Styled Components.
• State management libraries (Redux, Zustand, React Query).
• Experience with realtime UI technologies (WebSockets, SSE).
• Testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress.
• Experience working in financial services, trading, or analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for UI applications.

Candidate Profile:

• Seniorlevel, handson UI engineer (not a UI manager role).
• Strong problemsolving and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a small, elite, fastmoving development team.
• Passionate about UI performance, clean design, and user experience.
