Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Fraud Prevention Engineer to support and enhance enterprise fraud detection and prevention capabilities. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Python development, strong experience with Sumo Logic for monitoring and analytics. This individual will lead the design, automation, monitoring, and optimization of fraud detection processes, enabling proactive identification and mitigation of fraudulent activities across enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and enhancement of fraud detection and prevention solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable fraud analytics, monitoring, and automation solutions using Python.
• Build and optimize fraud detection rules, alerting mechanisms, and risk scoring models.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and operational metrics using Sumo Logic.
• Analyze large datasets to identify fraud patterns, anomalies, and emerging threats.
• Partner with Security, IAM, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams to investigate fraud incidents and implement preventive controls.
• Drive continuous improvements in fraud monitoring processes and operational efficiency.
• Participate in on-call support and major incident response activities related to fraud detection platforms.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership across fraud prevention initiatives.
• Contribute to strategic roadmap planning and technology modernization efforts.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Fraud Prevention or related technology domains.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python with experience developing APIs, automation frameworks, and data processing solutions.
• Strong experience with Sumo Logic including:
• Log ingestion and parsing
• Search queries and analytics
• Dashboard creation
• Alerting and monitoring
• Operational reporting
• Strong knowledge of fraud detection methodologies, risk analytics, and anomaly detection techniques.
• Experience working with REST APIs and integrating multiple data sources.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with data integration, and analytics.
• Experience with machine learning models for fraud detection.
• Knowledge of SQL and large-scale data analysis.
• Experience in AWS Cloud Data Lake technologies (S3, Glue, data pipelines) in the required qualifications section.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Background in financial services and insurance.
• Exposure to SIEM platforms.
