Job Title: Senior Lead Analyst / Lead Analyst – Business Valuation
Job Summary
Seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Lead Analyst / Lead Analyst – Business Valuation to join our valuation team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business valuation, financial modeling, M&A support, and valuation reporting. The role involves conducting comprehensive valuation analyses, preparing detailed reports, managing multiple engagements, and collaborating with senior leadership on complex valuation assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Valuation Analysis & Financial Modeling
- Perform business valuations using Income, Market, and Asset-based valuation approaches.
- Apply valuation methodologies including:
- Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) Analysis
- Capitalization of Earnings Method
- Comparable Company Analysis (CCA)
- Precedent Transaction Analysis
- Adjusted Net Asset Value (NAV) Method
- Guideline Public Company Method
- Guideline Transaction Method
- Develop, maintain, and review complex financial models to support valuation conclusions.
- Analyze historical financial statements and normalize earnings for valuation purposes.
- Conduct industry, market, and economic research to support valuation assumptions.
- Research and analyze public company comparables and transaction multiples.
Project Management & Execution
- Work closely with Partners, Senior Managers, and Managers on valuation engagements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather required financial and operational data.
- Follow written instructions effectively and communicate findings clearly across global teams.
- Ensure adherence to firm methodologies, quality standards, and professional guidelines.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare comprehensive valuation reports detailing methodologies, assumptions, and conclusions.
- Develop executive summaries, presentations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and maintain valuation work papers in compliance with professional standards.
- Review and quality-check deliverables prepared by junior analysts.
- Assist in client presentations and discussions related to valuation findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Qualifications such as B.Com, BBA, M.Com, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, CA, CFA (preferred).
- 4–7 years of relevant experience in Business Valuation, Financial Advisory, Transaction Advisory, or Corporate Finance.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling and valuation methodologies.
