Job Description Summary

This role primarily focused on conducting business performance analysis to assess risk and opportunities, incorporating trend analysis to assess business implications, and analyzing data to support global reporting, planning and forecasting. Creates, maintains and enhances models used in decision support and analyzing segment performance. Partners with the Business to adjust assumptions or offer parameters. Manages and provides coaching and tactical training to Financial Analyst/s or trainees/interns.

Key Responsibilities

Create consolidate expense/revenue and allocation reports and variance analysis focusing on providing business context.

Assist in developing commentary around business results.

Perform independent analysis using multiple data sources to derive root cause and track benefits of past decisions.

Manage planning and forecasting models and identify risk, opportunities and re-engineering.

Ad hoc projects and independently develop/enhance simple to complex models to make future reporting and analysis more efficient.

Lead the month-end and year-end closing process for the assigned business segment by analyzing and preparing journal entries and accruals.

Required Qualifications

Experience in applying accounting and financial concepts to interpret and solve business problems

5-7 years of relevant experience

Ability to manage multiple tasks, effective usage of prioritization and work collaboratively with many partners

Exceptional analytical abilities, incl proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel; PowerPoint; Word). Ability to complete medium to advanced Fin analysis

Strong written/verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise, and understandable manner

Finance degree and work experience in finance or related reporting

Preferred Qualifications

Expertise with Hyperion, Essbase

Experience in presenting to senior management
