Job Description

  • Job Objective
  • Lead maintenance of HCM, utility equipment, mucilage preparation equipment to deliver desired efficiency and up-time
  • Implement cost control initiatives to achieve R&M budget
  • Ensure compliance to statutory and regulatory obligations
  • Primary responsibilities

  • Prepare annual budget for maintenance and resources

Functional


Core

1 . Achieve reduction in downtime on account of engineering

  • Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment and machineries wrt utilities, HCM, mucilage preparation area
  • Monitoring process parameters and carry out corrective actions for utilities and HCMs on regular basis
  • Conduct root cause analysis for repeated failure and implement CAPA
  • Ensure availability of critical spares in ready to use condition to maintain plant up-time
  • Adhere to safety guidelines at all times
  • Carry out corrective actions to reduce the capsule defects in coordination with Production
  • Conduct condition-based maintenance along with the mechanical and electrical works
  • Analyze data from available log books/SCADA/IIOT systems and accordingly prioritize line of actions for mitigation
  • Maintain documentation related to maintenance and machine history cards
  • Compliance to regulatory and statutory norms
  • Develop alternate vendor & conduct risk assessments in order to mitigate risk and adhere to compliance
  • Ensure machine health for continuous operations of all HCMs
  • Ensure adherence to c-GMP, regulatory & statutory compliances, TPM and other applicable norms

2 . Planning & execute capacity expansion and other improvement projects in the facility


  • Plan, execute and ensure adherence to project tracker/planner for various improvement projects as per budget and schedule
  • Coordinate with external & internal SMEs or consultants for designing systems, wherever required
  • Support other user functions in execution of their departmental projects
  • Ensure execution of size change/ pin bar change activities within the specified time frame to meet the manufacturing requirements
  • Plan and execute innovative projects in various fields based on advanced technologies for synchronization of process/utility by automation, productivity increase and energy conservation
  • Assist QA in carrying out validation (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) of all engineering equipment and process
  • Energy Conservation
  • Ensure implementation of various energy saving projects to achieve budgeted ECR
  • Monitor, plan and execute energy cost reduction activities to achieve budgeted energy cost
  • Cost optimization
  • Ensure cost optimization in improvement projects with vendor development
  • Ensure reduction in R&M cost

  • Prepare PM compliance report on monthly basis to HOD
  • Prepare, review and submit downtime analysis report on regular basis to HOD

People Development


  • Develop associates on multi skilling
  • Provide on job and classroom training to associates
