About INFOCORP®

INFOCORP® (Infocorp Fleet Management Solutions Private Limited) is an Indian research and engineering organisation advancing aerospace navigation and positioning technologies.

Our activities encompass UAV and autonomous aerial systems, GNSS-supported navigation, and research into navigation resilience in environments where satellite-based positioning may be degraded or unavailable.

We are expanding our engineering capabilities to develop, integrate and validate next-generation aerospace navigation technologies through rigorous research and practical engineering.

Role Description

We are seeking an accomplished, hands-on Lead Engineer – UAV Navigation & Aerospace Systems to lead the development and integration of UAV navigation technologies and associated aerospace engineering systems.

The successful candidate will play a central role in establishing and strengthening our engineering capabilities, translating technical objectives into executable development activities, and leading multidisciplinary engineering efforts towards functioning, demonstrable systems.

This position requires practical engineering experience, sound technical judgement, proven system-delivery capabilities and the ability to lead engineers across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead UAV navigation and aerospace systems engineering activities, from requirements definition through development, integration and validation.
- Develop and evaluate system architectures involving navigation sensors, flight controllers, embedded systems, software and communication interfaces.
- Guide engineering activities involving GNSS navigation, inertial sensing, sensor fusion and real-time localisation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary technical specialists and contribute to engineering team development.
- Establish structured engineering workflows, design reviews, technical documentation and verification procedures.
- Plan and supervise simulation, hardware integration, laboratory evaluation and field-testing activities.
- Assess engineering alternatives, investigate technical challenges and recommend practical solutions.
- Translate research objectives into measurable development milestones and functioning technology demonstrations.
- Report technical progress, engineering risks, resource requirements and development outcomes to management.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

- A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics, Electronics, Robotics, Computer Science or a related discipline, or comparable demonstrable engineering experience.
- At least seven years of relevant engineering experience, including substantial hands-on involvement with UAVs, autonomous platforms, navigation systems or closely related technologies.
- Demonstrated experience developing, integrating or delivering functioning UAV or autonomous-system technologies.
- Strong understanding of GNSS-based navigation, inertial sensors, embedded systems and system integration.
- Practical experience with flight controllers and programming using C/C++ or Python.
- Working knowledge of navigation algorithms, sensor fusion, state estimation or real-time localisation.
- Experience leading technical development, resolving integration challenges and coordinating engineering activities.
- Ability to produce and review engineering documentation, assess technical risks and communicate complex engineering matters clearly.

Preferred Experience

- UAV manufacturing, aerospace systems integration, autonomous robotics or navigation technology development.
- Familiarity with PX4, ArduPilot, ROS, MATLAB/Simulink or comparable engineering environments.
- Hardware-in-the-loop simulation, structured verification, system testing or flight-test activities.
- Experience with safety-critical engineering, reliability assessments or aerospace verification practices.
- Exposure to advanced navigation research, alternative positioning techniques or emerging sensing technologies.
- Experience establishing engineering teams, laboratory capabilities or early-stage technology development activities.

What Makes This Role Distinctive

This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the development of INFOCORP's aerospace engineering capabilities.

The appointed engineer will participate in shaping technical development priorities, establishing engineering practices, guiding specialist teams and converting ambitious research objectives into practical engineering achievements.

We particularly welcome professionals who combine strong analytical capabilities with the practical experience required to build, troubleshoot, integrate and demonstrate real systems.

How to Apply

Applicants should submit:

- An updated CV outlining relevant experience and technical responsibilities.
- A brief summary of previously completed engineering projects or functioning systems.
- Examples of engineering achievements that may be disclosed without breaching confidentiality obligations.
- Current location and availability to join.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to participate in a structured technical assessment and engineering discussion.
