Lead Engineer, Software Quality Assurance (Network Operating System)

Summary

The Lead Engineer, Software Quality Assurance develops, debugs, deploys automated test frameworks and performs Quality Assurance testing on software components executing on Network Switch products.

The Lead Engineer, Software Quality Assurance works in cross functional teams with Software developers, Software Quality Assurance engineers, Program Managers , Customers, Manufacturing engineering and Project leadership to ensure robust and high quality product development. Continually enhances software quality by incorporating feedback from the field and own efforts.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Hands on experience in end to end software development life-cycle, with a concentration on functional and systems testing. Must be able to design and develop modular, automated test-cases and scripts.
• Must have a data-centric approach to SW quality tracking, monitoring and enhancements
• Must have experience working with test automation frameworks
• Strong debugging skills and experience with Linux
• Strong analytical skills, ability to design and develop test-plans based on product requirements. 
• Strong knowledge in Automation and scripting skills - Python, Javascript etc.
• Strong knowledge in Test Automation Frameworks – Selenium, CRobot etc.
• Strong knowledge of Networking protocols is required
• Experience with Ethernet switch and router products is required
• Experience with SONiC network operating system is highly desirable

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. 
• Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, etc.) are frequently required.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Typical Experience

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience is required
